Nice clean room, good amenities. Bed was a little hard. Booking system was down at check in and the lady was great to get us in our room regardless. A little noisy with the pub across the road.
Stayed for one night during a work trip. Good comfortable room with a large bed and good size bathroom. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful
We booked this place for one night 4 months ago as we have an appointment at specialist here in Mackay. I was excited to stay here, the photos online look amazing! Well, broken shower, calcification in the shower area, black mould in bathroom area, vent covers in bathroom falling off, carpet is dirty, outdoor furniture falling apart, fan in one room does not work. Definetly not worth the price we paid. Very disappointed. Place lacks maintenance. Absolutely no security at all here.
I loved everything about this place.nThe guy that checked us in was the friendliest person you could ever come across.nThe apartment was immaculate and clean. Equipped with modern facilities. Rooms were nicely set up and I liked the layout of the apartment. Gave me ideas on how to set up mine when I win the Gold Lotto. nThanks Oaks Mackay Carlyle.
Nice layout of apartment but that’s where to good ends. Carpets extremely dirty and outdoor furniture on patio very weathered. Blinds only on one window in the bedrooms?!?!? I need darkness to sleep especially when travelling and it seemed very poor that both bedrooms in the 2 bedroom apartment had windows without ANY blinds or curtains. Lots of road noise. Honestly wouldn’t stay here again and I always pick the Oaks to stay in all over Australia.
