I've been a few times to this dental practice. Shilpa is a nice person but she redid a filling for me and it has caused pain ever since. I returned to get Shilpa's filling filed down by the very nice and professional Sonal, but it is still causing so much pain I can't eat on it. I now have to have it redone (at my expense of course). 

While Shilpa was on maternity leave, Erin redid a different filling. It was a very distressing experience. She was abrupt and dismissive from the outset. She caused me a great deal of pain numbing my tooth, refused to stop until I moved her hand and spoke to her, denied ignoring me, then continued on, causing considerable discomfort all the way through the procedure. I experienced significant pain afterwards for over 2 weeks. 

I notice my story is similar to many of the other reviews. I also notice that the practice's responses to reviews are often to deny what happened and to blame the customer. I guess I might suffer the same response. My advice to the practice: you are losing customers! Perhaps try listening to customers and putting things right (e.g., refunding fees for poor work), and completely reviewing your skills, procedures and customer management approach. PS  Your reception staff really is awful.

Not happy at all. Had a filling done two weeks ago. Still can’t chew on my left side. Had another dentist look at it. X-rays showed fault in the filling. Wouldn’t recommend them.

I myself always thought highly of this practice, I had nothing but good to say about the dentists there.  But today I took my husband to your dentist in an emergency since he had broken a molar and was in a great amount of pain,  he went in and two hours later came out with a swollen face and had not only the tooth removed but the dentist had broken another tooth in the process.  He has now been in bed all day in agony. After charging him 500 dollars which was almost double what I paid a year ago he was told he would have to come back.   I will tell you now there’s no way he’s paying again to have his next tooth fixed or removed because of your dentists mistake..   he is in so much pain that he is incapable of even getting up without nausea and pain.   I will never send business here again, I have never been so disappointed and angry.

Our family of five have been visiting Northside Family Dental since we moved to the Gungahlin area two years ago. We have always found the dentists there to be excellent, particularly when dealing with little mouths. We have also found the office staff to be extremely accommodating with changes to appointments at the last minute.

Unwelcoming reception, rough rushed treatment and bad bedside manner, all of which made my visit incredibly uncomfortable. I did not feel satisfied with the quality of care nor did I feel that the treatment was in proportion to my needs or at the very least it was poorly communicated. I left feeling uncertain about the quality of care received and my first response was to seek an appointment with a different practioner. Irrespective of the competency of care, I had little confidence in the care I received.

Re comment: Thank you for removing my personal details from your updated post. I understand a review warrants a response (which is well within your right) however releasing private and confidential information without consent is incredibly inappropriate and an illegal breach of doctor patient confidentiality as you did. I hope you learn from this mistake, trying to undermining someone by releasing their personal information is incredibly unprofessional and absolutely not on.
