Bought a new KTM and had an amazing experience. Dean has a great knowledge of bikes and all the staff were extremely helpful. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Dean even helped me load the bike on the trailer and strap it down in the rain..
Good shop, good people.have recently begun a shop upgrade, especially around the layout. Nice to have a very local store, with most of the parts and accessories able to be grabbed on a Saturday morning for a weekend ride. Dean is knowledgeable and honest with his advice. I prefer spending here than online alternatives. They have heaps of stock and options . If you are looking for a road rager, dirt burner or any size ATV they will be able to help you out.
Got a flat tyre on my bike just before getting on the Spirit to come to Tasmania. Whilst on the Ferry I rang a few shops in Devonport who informed me that they would not have any mechanics working on Saturday morning that would repair my tyre. Dean said the same thing but also offered to meet me at the Ferry terminal at 7 pm on a Friday night to repair the tyre from out of the back of his van. He was there waiting for me with a smile and a repair kit that got me out of trouble! Service above and beyond my expectations! Highly recommended!
Super friendly very experienced staff & mechanics, plenty of new and used bikes/buggies ready to roll.
They always have the parts I need, reasonably priced as well.
recently I bought a new Suzuki road bike from Dean at North West motorcycles, this is my 2nd new bike from him,on both occasions he and his staff have been very helpful , friendly and approachable,Dean delivered both bikes to me and gave me a lift back to Devonport after trading my bandit while awaiting the new bike arrival, I've known Dean for many years, and have always found him to be a high calibre salesman, he knows his stuff. I would highly recommend north West motorcycles for any motorcycle needs or friendly advice, cheers Robbie Renalson
Had to revise rating. The store's fine lots of good products but DO NOT give them your bike! Left my KTM with them for valve adjustment to address a reoccurring starting issue. Being a KTM dealer thought it be a quick turn around,.. picked up 7 weeks later. No communication, no call backs, had to chase them 6 times for update, everytime same excuse was waiting on shims to arrive I'm surprised these couldn't be sourced locally. This is my daily commuter to work too so I had to borrow a friend's bike a lot longer than I estimated to. Disorganised staff when I did finally pick it up, couldn't find paperwork or the key. Would not recommend this workshop. $$ PS: ...And $650 later, I still have a reoccurring starting issue! Additionally I found two random spare bolts under the seat compartment I don't know where they belong?! The cable to release the battery cover was left hanging missing a bolt not one of the two random spares. And for some weird reason the battery cover barely even clicks/locks into place anymore, can easily fall off?! I now have more issues to fix now. Would not recommend this workshop.
Had an 11am appointment for inspection. No one showed, no courtesy call to provide an update. Did the right thing and went in to say I’m leaving and staff seemed to think it was funny I was waiting for 30 minutes then tell me they want to change the inspection time to 12.30pm. Pretty poor customer service.
Always helpful, and accommodating, I have an older model of the KTM family but the guys give me the same attention I would expect as if I had purchased one of their latest models, when ever I get something off them they always offer advice on fitment and anything else I may need to know with my purchase. Keep up the great work, and support local!
Great customer service and excellent prices. Got off the ferry on Monday morning with 1 clutch on a KTM not working and a clutch lever broken due to stupidity on my V Strom. We arrived before opening and they went out of their way to look after us. Both bikes fixed and out the door by 10.00am. Highly recommended.
