My favourite Italian in Parramatta. Nothing fancy just great home style Italian food also very reasonably priced.
Cute little Italian place. It's a bit away from the main eat street, but it's worth the extra walk. We stopped here for an early dinner one weekend. When we ordered the chef hadn't arrived just yet, so the waitress brought out some free garlic bread for us to munch on while we waited. The wait wasn't even that long. We had the meatballs entree. They were home made and delicious. The sauce was so rich and thick. Definitely recommend. I ordered the fish of the day, but it turned out that they didn't have any left. I had the prawns instead. My partner has the schnitzel. Both were good, but I feel that I should have chosen one of the more signature dishes, like the sweet potato gnocchi. We will go back. I just feel that I didn't select the best dish on this trip. Try again next time.
Good authentic home made Italian food at a fair price. This little place makes their own pasta and gnocchi in house and do a brilliant job of it. Their sauces are creamy and packed full of fresh strong flavours. The service was friendly and timely. It looks a little dated but you will forget about that once you taste the food. I'll be back again.
Great traditional pastas. We had a selection of pesto fettuccine, aglio o olio spaghetti and meatballs which were all cooked well and had generous servings sizes for the gentle price point. The only downside to such simple, delicious recipes is that they could be replicated at home so do not expect a "blow your mind" experience. Be aware that they also no longer make fresh lemonade as their website still advertises. Still, we enjoyed our time there and the food was outstanding.

Great food and atmosphere, awesome customer service. My bolognaise was one of the best I've ever had, and the garlic bread was great and available by the slice- which suited me as a solo diner. Staff were attentive but not hovering or pushy, and the atmosphere was wonderful.
Sadly has closed now, permanently. Will be always have fond memories of great food and drinks and friendly, warm chats with the waitstaff and Dominic and the way he spoke so passionately of his food, his cooking, and his restaurant, or just having a casual cup of rich coffee at the front, reminiscing about Italy. You'll never find another italian restaurant in Sydney with such quaint, sweet, warm charm as Nonna's.
Wow! This place is a gem. The quality of the food is great and the prices do not make a deep hole in your pocket. This cash only restaurant is a bring your own wine makes it even more affordable and as other mentioned, offers bread and lemonade to customers eating in. We had the bruschetta very delicious, the triangles tasty, spaghetti bolognese, ravioli of the day just melted in your mouth, those hand-made pasta were just incredible - probably the best I ever had, tiramisu and gelato the only let-down of the night but by that stage, expectations were high because everything else had been so great all of it for $65. The place is nothing fancy but the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The recommendations were great and quite frankly I will follow them again on next visit. I feel like this place is just great for any day of the week because of its charming look and also offers take-out. We will definitely become regulars of this great restaurant.
No free bread, No lemonade.. as claimed in the menu. Pasta was way undercooked. Asked for chicken instead of bacon extra $2, which is fine but just got cut up a schnitzel.. and STILL had bacon. A very poor dining experience...
Words cannot describe how dirty and disgusting this place is. There's food splattered all over the walls, cobwebs in the corners, hick layer of dust has built up on all the shelves, oily residues everywhere and slippery floor. I caught the chef tasting the food before serving it. We ordered two second dishes. Mine tasted so staling that I was gagging. And guess what? He apologised but got me to pay the dish anyway. Guys, seriously, this place is not Italian-owned and the cuisine is not even close to the Italian one. I will NEVER be back.
