Wonderful museum with about 4 sections. One is about railway and steel making, another one is about immigrant history and some Newcastle based companies. We loved so much steel making light show. You will love this place if you are keen to deep dive into Newcastle history and get understanding of its transformation over the time.
It was great to see such a small space packed with more details about various history of new castle and staff were so friendly explaining the paid and free shows and you can choose whichever you opt for.. Nice place in the middle of the city.. Kids would love to learn the history...
A museum behind the information centre in the city of Newcastle that provides free entry to view their exhibits. Found it pretty cool that that held alot of history as well as artefacts about the history of this area. Worth a visit
Im a sucker for history and learning about places I visit. There was so much to learn. Had a range of places within the museum to learn about the different industries and people that shape the history of Newcastle. A must see if you have an hour or two to spare in your trip.
Nice and free! You can donate coins or $5 by tapping your card....
Small but lot of information. One can spend around 2 hrs. When you read everything kept there - a quick walk can be done in 30mins
Cool little museum that covers everything Newcastle. We loved it. Great venue. Well maintained. Lovely staff. Free entry. They had a solid covid safe plan in place. Highly recommended if you are visiting Newcastle.
The Museum has alot of knowledge to give. It teaches us about things we wouldn't have known. It is worth a visit.
