I have been visiting here for many years as my parents and family members are here. It was always so colourful and pleasant. Now with the new rules my visits are getting more and more depressing. I find it colourless and morbid. I know that the silk flowers fade after time on some plots that don't have frequent visitors but at least there was colour and not just dead fresh flowers which stand out more than ever now the silk ones are no longer allowed. Please please change your rules and bring back the colour to our visits. I want to be happy to visit not sad and leaving swiftly because it's no longer pretty
This place is absolutely magical. The gardening is phenomenal. The headstones are all so beautifully done. It's peaceful enough to sit and talk to those your lost. The only downside is that sometimes the water can look a bit yucky but that doesn't really matter as they still clean it when they can. Would recommend getting a spot here.
Unfortunately many of my family have passed. They all had lovely send off's here. My Dad recently passed and dealing with them definitely made it easier for me. I was so impressed I bought the spot next to my Dad for myself. Thankyou
We have our four parents in gardens at Beresfield. Yes, it's tidy, but soulless and colourless. We have an issue with their policy of no silk flowers. They constantly remove very pretty, colourful silk flowers but leave dead "fresh" flowers in place way beyond their use by date. Not everyone can come regularly to place and replace fresh flowers. Certainly remove old silk flowers, but leave freshly placed ones. So, from your answer I understand that you only remove silk flowers three times each year? So, if we place flowers at the end of October, they will stay in place until January? We'll see....
Hi! As our family historian, I have visited Newcastle Memorial Park on numerous occasions. I have contacted then for information on many more. They have always gone above and beyond to provide information and help finding ancestors. One issue, is the lack of signage around the park to help find the specific site. Whilst the Loggia sites are marked, the Rose Gardens etc are not. Where does Rose Garden 12 stop and 12A start, where is section X or B where is site 22 or 17, the individual garden beds and sites are not marked. Many hours have been wasted searching for individual memorials. A bit more signage would solve the problem.
We attended Jan 2019 for Dad & he would've been very proud with his send off. We were so fortunate to find that Dad could be placed next to his mum Grandma & near his siblings as it hadn't been planned. Groundsmen do a wonderful job in keeping the Memorial Park Crematorium so well maintained.
The gardens were a disgrace lawns mowed without a catcher wet grass stuck to shoes brought home put through house and car not a good look
There isn't much use going there if you can't find a gravesite online
Beautiful layout. Great place for members of my family to rest.
How disrespectful and appalled by there way they don't mention partner or real father name at funeral
