Used to be my favourite supermarket...but I've noticed some strange things with prices. Sushi went up by 1or2 dollars then later they removed one piece and put the price a bit lower by couple cents. Now it costs more and I get less? Sandwiches went up $1 and now my vegetarian sandwich doesn't have sauce? Why are you putting the price up, taking things out, then lowering the price but not even to the original price? It's made me shop elsewhere recently.
A well designed supermarket, with a modern look and dedicated bulk spices section. Staff members are friendly, attentive, accommodating, and helpful; especially the lady at the seafood counter. Parking usually is available despite that it's a shared shopping area. Prices are a bit expensive compared to other supermarkets. Stocks are improving although now have less of unique items than it used to.
It's a good New World. Always well stocked and many cashiers are very friendly and helpful but those express checkout Indian ladies are quite racist. I forgot one thing after going through the checkout and went back inside with my trolley, 2 bags and my daughter in the seat. Grabbed the item and went to thenExpress checkout as it was only item. Paid for the item and the indian lady asked for my receipt which i gave and started going through my shopping. Confused, I told her I had just bought these items a few minutes ago. She kept looking. I then said you can go talk to the cashier that served me if you're worried lol. She kept checking and said next time leave your trolley at the front. I felt confused like. I did nothing wrong but felt like I was. I understand people need to do their jobs but I don't think she would have done this if I was white.nnNew World Mt Roskill please train your employees better.
Product range is bad, so many things that's are available in other new world isn't in this one. No salmon tail, no spinach, less fresh meat...and worst of all they scanned someone else's item and I only noticed when I got home. It's too far to drive for a refund!! Only shopped here because I was in the area, worst decision made.
I wish I had the same experience as some of the other reviews. I have been multiple times and I have found many products not to be available. Strange layout, it’s annoying when you forget something in fruit section. The deli meat section is very small. The bakery section is also not as good as other new worlds. Finally haven’t had the best packing experience either compared to other stores.
