After several appointments with Dr Patrick Carney relating to my epilepsy it became clear that he would remain dismissive, patronising and presumptive. As a health care professional of over 20 years and as someone who takes a great interest in the management of my health issues it was galling to have him tell me that 'many of my patients worry about that and there's no need to'. When I replied that my and others' lived experience and my actual medical research indicated that my concern was valid he stood up to end the appointment. When I sent an email cancelling further appointments and advising why, I received a letter from him where he stated that he hadn't wanted to cause me 'great distress' and 'significant distress'. This was a perfect example of his presumptive and patronising approach as my complaint regarding his professional approach to his clients was reduced to being a emotional reaction to a misunderstanding. Further, at the beginning of the session a Skype call came through as he had been double booked.
Proffessor yutze ng is a knoweldgable and fantasitic proffessional, who is also a wonderful and warm person. My personal experience has been absolutley wonderful!
After turning up to my regular migraine specialist appointment to see my regular neurologist and not being told that he no longer even works there, I saw the doctor they had booked me in with. Unfortunately I did not get the results I usually got with my old neurologist and had to wait 3 months to see a neurologist again for treatment. I spoke to Jessica today, who completely lacks empathy and compassion for someone dealing with people suffering with chronic illness as she informed me If I want to see a different doctor at the practice I need to come through as a new client, even though ive been going there for well over 12 months, pay a fee of over $500 and wait until at least October for an appointment. I tried to explain the urgency but she could not care less. Very dissapointing, would not recommend this practice anymore.
Had a great experience with Dr Luke Chen. Very helpful and has tried a lot of different things to help with my migraines. The reception staff have always been great too
As I travel considerably I rang to ask how much notice they needed for an appointment. They advised me 4-6 weeks would be plenty of time. I planned a trip back to Melbourne and called 6 weeks in advance to confirm a date. They told me the earliest they had was in at least 8 weeks time when I will be away again. Considering they are dealing with people who have headaches - they don't seem very organized and are likely to just give you another excuse to open another packet of paracetamol.
Friendly staff, just a little tricky figuring out where the office is first visit.
Extremely rude, unhelpful counter staff. Sounded very young, the two I spoke with. When someone has a serious, life long medical condition you can at least try to pretend to care.
Staff friendly and efficient. Dr Loh one of the nicest blokes you will ever meet, proactive and very thorough .
Katherine Buzzard doesn't do her job. this person is a joke
Please don’t waste your time with Dr. Chris Bladdin. He is never on time and he doesn’t listen.
