Meeting Neel has been transformational for me and I cannot recommend this place enough for curly people. I have discovered Neel two years ago and have been addicted ever since. Previously i had no idea what curly girl method was or how to look after my curly hair. I basically straightened my hair often and used the most expensive (albeit wrong) products and my hair looked pretty average despite all the money and effort that went into it. I heard the recommendation from a friend and just made an appointment. In my first appointment Neel basically said my hair is completely fried and he recommended a decent trim to grow healthy curls. If my hair ended up that short with another hair dresser I would have screamed but thankfully he taught me how to wash, style and dry my curly hair, and which products to use and what to avoid. This wasn't a sales pitch as he also recommended drug store products. He explained what hair type i have, and we did some future planning about what style of hair i could have when i grow it out. Even though at first I found the price expensive for a haircut, it actually ended up being cheaper than my previous life when I used to have a $30 trim every 6-8 weeks because I didn't know how to look after my hair. I have actually only visited Neel Loves Curls three times over two years, because he basically told me to come once a year! No more "trimming" every two months! Also, if I had a dollar for every time I get a compliment on my curls, i could go to Neel more than once a year :) I recommend this place to everyone. It is really one of a kind!

Love this place! After 30 years of straightening, my hair was dry and damaged. I stopped blow waving and let my wavy hair do is thing. I booked in with christine who's great, as are all the hairdressers. I felt a bit silly going to a curly hair specialist as my hair only has a light wave but they were fantastic. Not only do they do a great job cutting and styling your hair, they educate you on how to care for it and explain what they're doing and what products they're using. I now only need a cut every 6-9 months.

Absolutely loved it!! Neel was a total sweetheart and helped me learn so much about what my hair needs. I left feeling so informed and looking amazing. Am definitely getting my hair done here from now on. So happy!

I flew from Sydney to Melbourne to have my hair cut with Neel and I wasn't disappointed! One of the best cuts I've ever had! When are you going to open a salon in Sydney??!! Highly, highly recommend! More stars needed :)
