I’m really disappointed, I have been so incredibly sick, so of course I had to go through the respiratory clinic which was fine, I was happy to do that even though my RAT test at home was negative. I was told to wait outside until I got a phone call to tell me which “bay” to go to, waited 20 mins in the hot sun feeling very sick, ended up calling and asking how long it would be, only to then be asked, are you not in a bay yet? No one has called you yet? Well no, hence why I’m calling. So I made my way to bay 2, to then get a phone call telling me to go to bay 2 again which I was already doing. Finally got there, doctor came out, checked my chest, and throat, told me it was a chest infection and that I’d get an sms for some antibiotics, took maybe 2 mins max, he only asked me one question, and didn’t even give me a chance to ask a question, nor did he explain what may have caused my chest infection. I also have a very sore ear but he was in such a rush to leave me that I didn’t even get to ask him about it. Not the correct way to treat patients, I won’t be returning, reception staff are also rude. As a young mum, I had to organise for my child to be cared for so I could go to this appointment and I feel like I haven’t even had all my symptoms checked and I’m still wondering why my ear is so painful.
I wish I could give a better review but unfortunately their reception staff and organisation of patients is genuinely the worst I have seen. Their unprofessional approach and lack of consistency is really sad. I have heard the doctors are great, however to get to that stage you have to deal with a load of unpleasant rude treatment by reception staff.
Dr chappel has been an amazing help and support for me, she has dedicated a lot of her time towards me and this shows truly how much of a great doctor and human she is, she is always super friendly and welcoming, I would never change doctors. 5 stars!!!
My wife, following a blood test, was diagnosed with Ross River fever in March 2020, since then she has been suffering with pain & swelling mostly in her hands and cannot open anything, they keep her awake, she works in aged care and is struggling daily. Finally I got her to go back to the clinic to the same Doctor only to be told the original blood test was actually inconclusive and sent her for another test. WHY did he diagnose her with Ross River when the blood test was inconclusive in the first place and possibly cause her all this pain, for nothing for the past 8 months. Poor Doctoring but he didn't care and now says a phone appointment will be ok??? And, as usual for the third time, when I call to make an appointment I find the ladies at reception are extremely rude and have no patience at all. I personally hate the place and would never use them....I go elsewhere! My opinion!
Very knowledgeable, kind, caring Drs & nurses. However reception personnel constantly ignore you on arrival until they are finished their private conversation.
All the doctors I've seen have always asked as many questions as they could to try and understand what was going on & made sure we were on the same page. They are way better then other doctors I've been to that seem not to care what you say but just want to get you back out the door.
All their Doctors and staff are excellent especially with Dr Sebastian Lambooy. We couldn't ask for a better Dr than him and his the very best Dr so far we ever had in the sunshine coast. Took awhile to find him but once we did, even 1st visited him we are completely satisfied with the outcome. Very caring, listens very well, excellent with our children, understand and helped us over the years in our very tough times. Missed his service when we are away. I can't thank him enough for everything.
I needed one simple task, A support letter and a Dr's signature on a form i just moved to the area and i understand, if you are a relatively a long term patient you will probably have a better experience, i will say the reception was relatively friendly... but i seen 2 Drs there and i didn't receive the help i needed like a referral for a phsychiatrist as i needed a medication review but i only got a referral to a psychologist who obviously have no authority to prescribe medications. in my experience i think they need to work on establishing a more positive relationship with new patients and take a little more time to understand a patients situatuon and needs then it would probably be a better practice.
With a sever allergic reaction I was seen too promptly and with care. Kathleen at reception was so lovely and helpful, and accommodated me late in a Saturday morning with no fuss. Thanks team.
I went to this clinic today. The receptionist was very helpful and made me feel comfortable. Dr Lambooy was kind, explained things well and I left feeling reassured. I would highly recommend Dr Lambooy and this clinic.
