Nam Nam

Very rare to go North shore so I'm almost a total stranger to Takapuna. I take the chance to try this one at my training lunch break as I'm a big fan of south East Asia foods. Portion is a bit smaller than others so to the price is cheaper. Pho $9.9 for small, $13.5 for big. My overall feeling about it is not bad. Beef slice pho is fresh, the broth is delicious. They are perfect for the office people nearby to enjoy a quick and light lunch, without too much burden.

Rebranded - new owners maybe? Genuinely the worst vietnamese I've had in memory. Pho was bland. No vegies no flavour in broth. No bean sprouts. Summer rolls were just lettuce, unseasoned tofu and noodles with a bowl of hoisin.Food: 1/5

Always love coming here. I hear a lot of people commenting that they love the nam nam inside the newly developed commercial bay, but many still don't know about this joint. So much flavour packed into their meals, this one is just slightly cheaper than the one in town. We always visit this one for their beef pho and vermicelli salad. A meal for two may cost 35-40 bucks.

Flavour overall is good. Quick service. Price is reasonable. Good amount of serving size.We ordered the Beef Pho, Chicken Lemon Grass Bhan Mi and chicken lemon grass fresh spring roll. What we did not like. Beef pho noodles were not al dente. Bhan Mi bread is ok, not hard but I didn't like the mayo, for me it makes the bhan mi to westernize. No fresh chili and hoisin sauce on the table as condiments just sriracha as hot sauce. Though the lady did ask me if I wanted fresh chili which she knew I was looking for it.

Very happy to have a Vietnamese place on the shore, now we know where to go if we want a quick Vietnamese food fix. However it’s too difficult to give an overall rating... so please check photos for individual ratings.

Didn't know this even existed in Takapuna, it's such a great spot and I love a good Vietnamese summer roll 1prawn 2lemongrass chicken and both that I ordered were sooo yum. Super fresh and tasty and the peanut butter hoisen dipping sauce they gave just superb. Could not fault this at all and I've tried a few Vietnamese summer rolls, not to mention great price, as some are very expensive. Next time I'll be sure to try the Banh Mi as that looked soooo good. Definitely will be back to try more!!

Very nice Vietnamese street food, cozy atmosphere, delicious food. Good value for the good portion of food. Staff are friendly and generous.
