Lovely restaurant in Oakleigh with authentic Greek food. Staff were wonderful and quick to help. I had the slow cooked lamb shoulder. Although it was a bit on the salty side for my personal liking the meat was cooked very well and was nice and tender. My friend had mussels for her main and she said she couldn’t fault it. I myself tried some and it was indeed very good! Would come back for sure and try their meat or seafood platters
Had a very pleasant Sunday lunch here. It was not busy and there were plenty of tables available. Service was prompt and food came out in a timely manner. The open plates were very generous in size and more importantly very tasty. Enjoyed the food very much and would definitely revisit.
Great experience. Portions were huge and fresh seafood, packed with flavour. Service was friendly and attentive. Great place to dine in and catch up with family and friends. Highly recommend.
Went to Mythos Gyros Bar in Oakleigh for a late lunch and drink.nLocation is good and plenty of parks around. Its on a street / walkway with numerous other restaurants and cafes, has indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside, half of the table was sticky which is gross.nWe ordered souvlaki wraps. Menu mentions all the meals come with chips etc which was assumed it was a side but was in the wrap instead, common misconception. When mentioned and asked to our waiter staff he gives a face and barely says anything except he begrudgingly takes the food back to remedy the situation.nThe Staff member on our table didn't want to be there and had a bad attitude, so much so we were given another waiter instead of him. The new staff member was great and knew how to talk to customers unlike previous one, shocking.nFood was very salty to the point it was inedible. Apparently that wasn't an error and just how they make it. No one could finish their meals, and we were hungry too.nSauce selections for wraps and HSP was lacking and missing common popular sauces you'll find at even a back alley Greek shop.nThey said they won't charge us for the drinks but was charged for it anyway, you can't make this stuff up.nBad experience overall, I'd recommend going to any of the other nice places next to Mythos instead unless salty food and rude staff are your thing.
Very good platters - great flavour and massive servings. It was amazingly busy on a Tuesday night. Great energy overall.
