Cannot speak more highly for Greca Street. Arguably one of the best Greek restaurants in Oakleigh.nI have been here so many times and I keep coming back. And for good reason!nAmazing quality of food, always consistent and never disappointing. Hence why I keep returning! I know I will get wonderful service from lovely staff and incredible authentic meals. I’ve also had their meat dishes which isn’t pictured but are absolute delicious!nThey have a lot of options on their menu and although I haven’t tried everything, I’m sure whatever you choose they will deliver a superb dish! Well done team at Greca Street, keep up the amazing work you do!n- From a very happy customer
Food was great, service from the waiters felt they were stand offish and their vibe of service just wasnt there. They'd just come and put the food away without any contact or smile or anything. True for 1 or 2 of them, not judging them all but this was my experience. Food and setting was great though.
The set menu was varied, juicy, and quite a large quantity too.nThe service was good just not great, we had to wait for a while to get our drink orders and it took a while between one of the two main meals to bring out the food. It felt like they were trying their best just to cope with the many large groups of customers.
This place is a great place to eat. Quality of food was good, everything that came out was nice. Value for money though, not so much. Food and drinks were so expensive compared to other places. We got a mixed grill for 3 and the meat was only just enough, however their serving of the tzatziki was for such a serving was for 1/2 a person. They need to provide a better serving amount relative to the meal and the number of people it’s meant for. Also a bit tight on the pita bread too. Salad was tiny too for the money. Drinks are so expensive, no one on the table ordered any alcoholic drinks, $11 for a beer and $6 for a 250ml bottle of coke. Talk about price gouging. Over all we enjoyed the meal, and we may go back, but I think water is good. I don’t like to get ripped off. BTW, the service was great and the atmosphere was really nice too. I did note that the noise level was pretty good so you could have a conversation.
Wow, what an experience going to this restaurant today. I’m a Greek orphan from Perth and I don’t have any connection with my Greek family when in Australia and I heard about Oakley for so long and I always wanted to go there and I went to Greca poste haste as soon as I arrived in my Airbnb and they looked after me and was so nice to me.nnI’m vegan and it can be hard to please me with food sometimes and the food was exquisite. I had the best Greek food ever. It was like being back in Greece. The staff was really nice, especially the lady Manager and the Greek bar Man, oh dear he was so sweet and he kept talking to me because I was by myself and there was so nice to me Wow what an experience. If you’re vegan, I recommend this place they go out of their way for you.
