To be honest there isn’t a lot of options to eat in this area, but this one might be one of the best around… came here for lunch and it was quick, filling and relatively cheap.  Dumplings were nice, maybe a little too doughy for my liking but it did it’s job. Would definitely come back if I’m in the area again.  There is a $15 minimum spend for EFTPOS, otherwise there’s a 20 cent surcharge.

Visited September 2022. Sunday Night. Shanghainese cuisine. Very rare and difficult to do. I was extremely impressed with what they served up given many of the ingredients necessary for making Shanghainese dishes are not available and not easily substitutable in Melbourne. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Will definitely be back! If you're wondering what to order, the answer is pretty much anything. Forgot to take photos but we ordered about 15 dishes that night and all except were perfect.  and  are amazing

Tasty Chinese cuisine, lovely staff, and good price for great food portion for hungry man like me. My favourite was Mongolian beef on rice. I would recommend to light up the place a bit more to have that dining experience more vibrant.

Phoned in a takeout order - the lady who took our order was lovely and the food was ready in 10-15 minutes.  We had the Pan Fried Pork dumplings excellent the pork wontons in chilli sauce very tasty, could have been a tad spicier though! along with the fried wontons nice and crispy and the spring onion pancake very flaky and delicious.  Overall a reasonably price, speedy lunch and will be a regular go-to spot for us to grab our dumpling fix!

This restaurant has recently changed hands & been renamed and refurbished, all in a good way. Even the food was good earlier, the ambience and feel wasn’t...so now I won’t hesitate to go and have dinner with my family. Nice food, priced well and friendly staff. Loved their pork belly...just simply awesome & ohh yes...PORK STEAMED DUMPLINGS..!! One of the best you can get.

Terrible and rude, they got the order wrong and then wanted an argument rather than fixing the problem. Stay away. The food is below average.

There has been a serious drop in the standard of food, the lady staff member was also very unfriendly. Last year when we came to eat the food and service was excellent and a 5 star rating, I’m very disappointed writing this review. The only decent item on the menu was the sweet and sour fish, whereas the Xiao long bao standard has dropped.

Definitely my favourite restaurant around Balwyn with fantastic food and service. I would highly recommend their braised pork, chicken cooked in whine, crab roe tofu or, if you can take spicy food, Sichuan style fish fillets. The variety is great and wait time is always short, it’s just my go to place whenever I’m craving for a Chinese meal.

I have heard great things but the takeaway we got was slightly disappointing. Pork ribs and rice cake was a little too vinegary and the braised duck didn't taste very fresh, a bit hard to chew. I might have to go try again once we can dine in.
