The Mullaloo Community Kindergarten is a spacious early learning centre set in the heart of the Mullaloo community. Situated on Koorana Road next to the Mullaloo Plaza shopping centre, the kindy shares the building with the child health nurse. The Kindergarten is government funded and supported by the Department of Education.
The kindy celebrates more than 30 years of community based education, with a parent committee and teachers working closely together to optimize learning experiences and outcomes for the children. Offering places for two groups of students, we have been able to welcome families from the surrounding suburbs including Kallaroo, Ocean Reef, Heathridge, Beldon and Craigie.
Being a community kindergarten, we receive regular educational grants. This money enables us to purchase a significant number of additional educational resources to support our programme. In 2012, the Joondalup shire invested in our outdoor play space creating a playground with a variety of spaces that are connected with pathways. The children can enjoy a climbing fort, a musical and sensory garden, swings and a sandpit with conveyor belt. There is also ample room for free play incorporating dress ups, tents and sporting activities.
