Our emergent curriculum is derived from natural play based learning and is designed to support the innate explorative skills of the children at MPPS.
It is our aim to encourage each child to reach their full potential within their individual ability. An abundant and nurturing environment has the potential to stimulate imagination and promote creativity, affording the children with the belief that anything is possible. By introducing children to a wide range of social and cultural experiences, family types, groups and communities the children will grow to be worldly individuals with a rich sense of community.
We believe that the children will be greater equipped to accept challenges that they may be faced with in life when they have taken risks and actively explored their natural surroundings in a supportive yet autonomous educational setting.
At kindergarten, the students will have the opportunity to use both indoor and outdoor environments with the aim to support the innate explorative skills that children are born with. We will encourage them to be adventurous, to imagine, observe, make choices and adapt their learning environments to scaffold their needs and the developmental leaps and bounds the individual and groups together make.
We encourage families to have a strong partnership with the pre-school and welcome family members into our kindergarten. We are committed to open and constructive communication with families and we welcome you to our Facebook page.
