Breath taking view of clear blue ocean and Opera House, Sydney Bridge and Tower in a single horizon. Best place to take pics with such world famous landmarks as backdrop. Spend good time with near n dear ones on the bank.
So stunning. It’s an amazing spot for any occasion; visiting, picnic, date night, etc. It is the best spot to take photos of both the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. On the left hand side you can see back to the city and it’s beautiful.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Go to the Westpac Open Air Cinema as a yearly ritual. It never disappoints. It was sunny and beautiful on the day I went. However, in previous year I have gone when it’s been raining and it is still just as fabulous. The Sydney harbour back drop is just something else.Visited onWeekdayReservation recommendedYes
Lovely short walk from downtown and the botanic gardens. There’s some pretty decent views of the opera house and the harbor bridge from across the water.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
@jadeexplores This is probably one of the best sunset spots in Sydney. You're able to get an incredible view of both the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. It can get quite busy on a good evening, so make sure to come early and set up a picnic on the grass nearby.
The “chair” it self is around the corner from the great view of the opera house and the harbour bridge, definitely the best view of both of them you can find, as well as a great spot of the sunset, New Years and any other big event in the city. The gardens around it are also great to explore, you are can’t be in Sydney without visiting
Unbeatable views of the Bridge, and across to Kirribilli, and around the corner to Garden Island Naval Base, all for the cost of parking......or why not stroll across the Botanical Gardens from the Opera House? Bring a rug and a picnic and your favourite friend for a day out. This is surely one of Sydney's highlights, and it's there for all to enjoy.
We thought we were walking to see something amazing but we realised the view of the Sydney opera house is really good here. The walk from our hotel was nice. There’s a little coastal walk and a short hike up stairs. No toilets on the way. I think is a nice touristy spotVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
The best spot on the city side of the harbour for a view of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Tourist must do. Walking along the foreshore from the Opera House or through the Botanical Gardens are both beautiful options. Seating along the way to rest the legs or drink in the view.Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo wait
Mrs Macquarie's Chair is a Sydney landmark. The chair was carved out of a sandstone rock ledge by convicts in 1810. Specially commissioned by Governor Macquarie for his wife Elizabeth who was known to love the area. The area is surrounded by the iconic Sydney harbour and offers unique views. It is one of the best vantage points to view the sights of Sydney Harbour, opera house, and harbour bridge.
