Purveyors of fine drinks, good times & bocce. We take bookings for small & large groups and private functions.

Story

Mr Wow is as pedantic about his drinks as he is about his guests having a good time. From classic to bespoke cocktails, he has a selection of premium spirits, liqueurs, single malts, house made bitters, fine aged rum & wines to delight you & your friends. But, if you just want beer...he has that too.

Group bookings are very much welcomed and encouraged. With a little notice we can organise a private section of the bar just for you & your friends. We're also happy for the opportunity to host a private event complete with catering and drink packages.

Had a group booking for an event. I emailed the week of to confirm numbers and received a reply that the venue had closed the week prior!! I am owed over $1000 and the venue has made no attempt to arrange a refund.
Visited on a Friday night after viewing the website. Was looking forward to a sing and competition but got neither. Venue closed at 1am despite website advertising 3am finish. Karaoke host very apathetic with no attention to fair rotation. Constant smoke machine not great for singers. Didn't see any food and pool table belongs at the tip
Karaoke mics are so quiet - apparently broken yet the hosts/drag queens mics are crystal clear. You would expect a karaoke bar would have quality, robust mics or at least hold stock of the cheaper ones when they break. You want to hear the singing more than the hostsAtmosphere: 1/5
Security was very rude, unprofessional and let 6 females through before denying 2 males in the same group. I was excited to attend but after this experience, I will not be going again or recommending it to anyone. Rather disappointing.
I work as a security guard & am ashamed & disgusted by what I saw tonight. I am a white man. Security guard number 40 denied my non white friend entry aggressively asking him “how many drinks you had? You need to go & sober up”. We’d had the same number of drinks & he would happily let me enter. My friend was definitely not intoxicated. He then let a large white group enter who were clearly intoxicated & stumbled up the stairs. We then went to a bar a few doors down & the security guards let us both in. How is this possible if my friend was intoxicated 2 mins earlier?
I went here after a long break from the night life and it did not disappoint. I was met by the loveliest American girl who even tho I ordered the most intricate cocktail they have struck up a conversation and kept the brightest smile. Over the time I was there all the other bartenders kept checking if I needed anything. The drag queen even complimented my outfit which was the cherry on top. However, I lost the bingo to the same person twice, so I had to buy the $5 shots out of my own pocket instead of the bingo prize money. I will be coming back solely for the personality of the bartenders specially my new favourite cocktail maker.
Visited on a Saturday where it's karaoke night hosted by two beautiful Drag queens. The atmosphere in this place is super fun and chill. Some serious singers on the mic others not so great but so very entertaining! Definitely recommend coming here for those looking for a fun night out
Good venue, rude and disorganised staff. Except manager Don’t bother with booking a package. We were suppose to have unlimited hot dogs for a pre booking and they didn’t have enough for one per person as they “ran out”, then tried to charge for the cocktails on arrival when that was part of the deal, then accused us of arriving too early. Not to mention was a wait for 30 minutes for a drink. Had a good night here but felt like the staff were annoyed we were there.
I want to start this review by saying I love this bar- it is my favourite place to go on a night out and has an amazing ambiance and delicious drinks. I am rarely one to leave negative reviews especially for a business that I love, but I truly believe this needs to be put out there so others don’t have the same experience I did. This review is focused on their functions team. I reached out to them to host my 21st Birthday there earlier this year. The website looked great and it seemed like a reasonable price, I was very keen. I originally emailed in May, however they said they don’t take bookings that far in advance the party was in September- but they would pencil it in and I could email later in the year to ensure I didn’t miss out. I looked around at other venues but ultimately ended up emailing back for a quote in July, and I was directed back to the website where it states $1500 for full venue hire- I assumed this was the minimum spend amount. At this point the response time was great and the staff were very attentive. They asked for a few more details, so I gave them everything I knew, after confirming the date was available. I then had to send two follow up emails over the span of about two weeks, only for them to respond 17 days after the initial email was sent. He said he was sick, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and continued on with the hire. They confirmed the date was locked in for me, so I started organising guest lists etc. I asked about how drink packages/bar tabs worked as there was no info regarding this or catering on their website, which is where they first mentioned a minimum spend- I assumed this was the amount I saw on the website, as that was where they directed me earlier when I asked for a quote. Since we’d confirmed the venue was locked in, I invited my guests and waited again for them to respond with information regarding catering and decorations. I also asked to confirm the minimum spend and deposit amount. It took almost A MONTH for their next email. When they finally sent a response which STILL didn’t include any info about catering!, they informed me that the minimum spend for the night would be $10,000. This email came about 2 weeks before the party date, and I was heartbroken to hear as it was completely out of my budget. I sent three follow up emails after this, but never received any form of response. I have no issues with venues having a high minimum spend, however the lack of transparency and timely communication was appalling. We had to plan an entirely new party from scratch in 2 weeks- at that point it was impossible to find a new venue, so we had to host at home. This caused my family and I significant stress, and turned what should’ve been an exciting milestone experience into a tense and taxing few weeks. I am incredibly disappointed with the lack of professionalism, empathy and honesty shown by Wows with this experience, and I urge anyone looking for a venue to stay far away.
