I don't recomend this company to anyone. I have a bad experience with this company. My existing house is gable and skillon. I have given this company a very clear instructions that I want my verandah's roofs gable and skillon design and decking on gable and skillon.. I have received their quote with the attached drawing and I've noticed that no decking on skillon roof. He ammended the decking of extra $5000 plus on top of their original quote of 27000 plus it went to more than 32000. After the ammendment of the decking. I have informed the building consultant I cannot afford anymore ammendment cost. I had limited budget. He said was all good. As soon as paid my deposit. He came back to my property to get some relevant documents. As soon as he's got he relevant document he claimed that there was a problem on the skillon drawing. He said that he made a bad judgement of the heigth between the skillon roof and the decking. As soon as I made the suggestion his charging me extra 600 hundred I told him I cannot afford anymore extra cost. He has suggested another slope that won't cost me. I told him I didn't like the look of it and the idea of the gutter were inside and between the gable and skillon. I told him I will have to duscuss with my ex husband. I told him I can already picture in my mind about the look of it and told him don't waste your time but he has insisted to draw a draft design so that Ican see it more than by picturing in my mind . Then he said If you don't like it we will work something out or he said he can change the skillon roof in a different brand than the gable. I said no, I didn't like the idea of different roof design. He was shift things around. He emailed me the new design after 19 days. I have responded to that drawing via email I didn't like it. He went back to the original design but it wasn't look being ammended. I have emailed him to asked the detailed of the heigth because it wasn't specified in the drawing. He has spoken to me about it over the phone. With his verbal discription of the heigth was very low and I wont ne able to open my existing window. I spoke to him about it he said I will have to pay extra 600 for ammendment. I have suggested another slope but still have to pay. I gave up and asked my deposit back but he only had refunded me 300 out of 2000 deposit. I was seek for legal advice I was told is a disputable case but it will cost me more legal fees. I was advice to take the mattet to VCAt Im hoping VCAT help me get my full deposit back

Mr Verandah designed and build a custom made wooden verandah to suit the style of my house. They were professional and friendly from the get go. Chris and Louise and even the tradesmen were a dream to work with from the planning to the verandah design to actually building our Verandah it was smooth sailing not to mention the price on such a good job. Not only that we had a valuation on house and the amount the verandah had added to our house price was amazing so we actually made money. We just got a carport build by them to match our house and verandah. With over 15 years in the trade Mr Verandah was my only choice and now all my friends have used them I can't rate them highly enough. Daniel Gun
