Have wanted to go here for a while, and sit outside, and can very highly recommend a visit. Staff were very friendly, and though busy, were efficient, and nothing was to much trouble. The food was plentiful and delicious, ordered the Baked Beans as extra, would love the recipe! Will absolutely be returning for another coffee, and a seat outside-can’t recommend highly enough.
Had breakfast quite early in the morning soon after they had opened. Service was relatively swift and friendly although a little wait for coffee and food. Coffee was good. Atmosphere inside lovely - beautiful sitting areas we chose the comfy booth. A lovely little spot nice and central. Some people working on laptops so would be a nice study spot. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bread available
Service is good but kitchen is inconsistent. Had same big breakfast twice, first one was great and second was served with cold bacon and sausage, and no butter. Had to send it back for them to heat it up. Worth a try, I'm not returning. Juice was pretty good.Food: 3/5
Lovely cafe with good amount of space. I’ve had smoothies here before and quite enjoyed them. Pictured is a really yummy chicken coleslaw salad with a tangy, bright sweet/savoury dressing and crunchy topping. Recommend trying this out for lunch!
Been a while between visits. The food is still terrific. The Winner Winner Chicken Schnitzel with a smear of Dijon mustard and Italian slaw hit the spot. Delicious. 10/10 Michael's attentiveness he's the owner never fails to impress. He even made way through a bunch of noisy teenagers for me, so that I could hobble up the steps to get into the café. That's service! 20/10!
Great service, lovely venue, broad and flexible menu. Had a tuna salad delicious, fried eggs and chips nice and crunchy. Would highly recommend and will definitely come again. Also great coffee
Shlepped around for a bit looking for a dog friendly spot, was able to eat outside with our pup. Quick service and tasty food. We both got fresh squeezed juices also which were deelish. Definitely will head back here on a lazy weekend for brunch.
Located right behind the State Library, they serve a good selection of sandwiches, salads, and coffee. I came previously and tried their sandwiches, but I think they make better salads. I ordered the Tuna Salad, served with lemon mayo, boiled eggs, radish leaves, capers & croutons. I found it to be well presented and delicious. I also enjoyed their Reuben sandwich. They don't have much to offer in terms of coffee, which I found to be average. A good place to read a book and have a quick lunch.
Alright place. Good for reading a book but service plus food was mid. Smoothie was expensive and tasted weird. Watermelon and cucumber, flavours did not mix well. Lemon tart was just okay.
Thank God for Michael! He was a lifesaver allowing us to have Mr Tulk as a wet weather back up venue for our wedding. Fortunately the weather was beautiful so we didn’t need to use the space. However Michael was also generous to stay open for our guests between ceremony and reception and allowed us to take beautiful photos in the space after hours. We’re so grateful for your kindness. Mr Tulk will always be a special place for us! @kyraboyerweddings
