We had late lunch last Thurs. Food was fantastic & servic was great. We had a dog and beer garden was cosy. Highly recommended.
Beautiful. We stumbled across this lovely place enhanced in by the dark painted hallway and intimate lighting. Luckily there was a table free up in the balcony area. Couldn't have asked for a more friendly welcome, beautiful service, fantastic recommendations, eager to please and the atmosphere was perfect. We had such a lovely night - all our meals were gorgeous - I'm vegan and they more than happily accommodated me while my meat eating fellow diners enjoyed their scrumptious menu. So pleased we came and will come again. Thank you for making it such a great night.
Very average to say the least. Atmosphere within the restaurant was very warm and cosy. Small restaurant which what I believe must have been a converted house. Nonetheless the decor within the restaurant is beautiful! They serve the receipt in old novels and that's a cool twist to just getting it handed to you in the standard black pouch as most places do. We used a Groupon voucher and thankfully we did. Otherwise the bill would have been exorbitant. The food was very tasty and authentic Italian with a twist. Anyone knows fine dining always comes in small portions and that is completely understandable. What I don't seem to understand is that for $8, we ordered in addition to our voucher, zucchini fries. This was all well and good till we only received 4 thin deep fried pieces of zucchini. This I think is definitely over doing the concept of fine dining but this is just my opinion. The staff were very useful and prompt and very friendly.
$20 lunch special is perfecto see you every Saturday forever from now on. Thx. pic was buffalo milk chocolate dessert
Just Delicious! Special italian food . Very friendly staff! Nice atmosphere
I love this place. The food was incredible, authentic and downright tasty! The staff were very friendly and helpful, offering wine suggestions for each course. The Malenzane and sugo was as if it came from Nonnas kitchen. The venue, though small, was very intimate and offered a relaxed date night atmosphere without being pretentious or uncomfortable. Thank you for the step back into my childhoods culinary delights. We'll definitely be dining here again!
Probably just a bad day, so let's forgive the half-cooked pasta and the fact that we weren't told at the beginning that the Eftpos machine was broken... What's not so easy to forget was the blandness of the dishes, including Rigatoni and Gnocci a bit too squishy, too. The grated cheese offered in a bowl on the table was so mild it tasted like flour. $10 for a bottle of sparkling water is overpriced, even in pretentious Fitzroy. Service was friendly and attentive, though understaffed once the restaurant filled up.
Gorgeous cosy space with attentive knowledgeable service. The coffee smoked trout with some very interesting purée was delicious and the arancini about the most moist I can recall having I have had a few :- the signature chicken dish was full of flavour and so juicy. A really memorable spot for our late lunch or very early dinner, terrific that the kitchen was open all day, thanks for a lovely meal we shall certainly return
I don’t know where to start. First of all, the food was tasteless, the portions were tiny, and the cost is massive. Secondly, why is there a surcharge on all bills - unless paid in cash? Aside from one staff member, everyone was for the most part, very friendly. The Italian or possibly french waitress with the dark hair, was rude and arrogant and did not deserve a tip.
Dined there on a groupon voucher and the waiter was extremely accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. The food authentic and delicious. Thank you, we will be returning.
