This was honestly the best pork hock I’ve ever had — insanely tender, juicy, and it just melts in your mouth with every bite. What really impressed me was the flavor — rich but clean, with absolutely no unpleasant porky smell, which I usually really dislike. Both the meat and the soup were so well-prepared that there wasn’t even a hint of that typical pork odor.nnThe spicy soup? Absolutely spot-on. It had just the right kick and saltiness to keep you coming back for sip after sip — super comforting and flavorful without being too much.nnEvery single one was delicious and clearly made with care. They weren’t your usual boring sides either; each had its own unique taste that perfectly complemented the main dish.nnFrom the first bite to the last, everything just tasted right. The flavors were balanced, nothing felt overly seasoned or bland — just pure comfort food done right. Plus, the staff were friendly and welcoming, which really added to the whole experience.nnWould 100% recommend this place, and I’m already looking forward to coming back again soon!
One of my favorite restaurants. We eat here quite often for a relaxed and simple meal. They sell pork soup with rice, Korean pork trotters and korean blood sausage. Especially since the weather has been cold recently, warm pork soup with rice and serving with some side dishes is really a good choice for me! I would recommend it to people who like korean food.
First time here and realised this place is pretty exclusively Korean style homecooked hotpot dishes. We went for the mixed pork & songdae soup. Yummy but strong pork flavour with the innards. May not be suitable to Caucasian taste. I absolutely loved it!! Next time I will try their spicy soup.nnWe noticed each pot of soup is for one person meal but my hubby and I eat less food as we age so the one pot was more than sufficient to fill us up. Don’t forget their delicious side dishes
I’ve been to Mr. Lee’s Foods more than twice now, and each visit feels like a warm, comforting experience. The pork soup is hearty, with a rich, natural broth that isn’t too salty — perfectly balanced. If you come to try it, be sure to add a little of the salt provided on the table to suit your taste. The jokbal braised pork hock is a treat, beautifully tender and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Each bite is flavorful and satisfying, especially with the side condiments.nnAlthough the space is small, it’s a lovely spot for anyone craving authentic Korean flavors in a cozy setting. Definitely worth a visit — bring your family and friends who love Korean food!
Great food for reasonable price ~ they only got 7-8 tables so it’s always full~ no reservation service but queueing usually takes within 10-20 min ~ authentic Korean food and vibe
