Story

Mr Donut was started from humble beginnings in a small hot bread shop along Springvale road in Springvale, Victoria by Alex Argiriadis in 1979.

Alex established a reputation for quality doughnuts and the business started to grow. The development of a distribution network allowed Mr Donut to service more and more customers. Over the years, Alex saw the need to offer customers a full bakery offering. In order to provide this, a factory and new equipment were purchased in Springvale and the business was moved.

Mr Donut was now producing Cakes, Slices, Pastries, Pies, Sweet Yeast and many more bakery products.

The distribution network grew to include all of metropolitan Melbourne and some outer suburban / country areas including west to Geelong, north to Albury and east to Gippsland.

With the distribution network and the reputation for fresh quality bakery goods, Mr Donut expanded from servicing your corner shop, coffee shops and the like into Supermarkets, large catering companies, large petrol and convenience stores and school canteens.

In October 2003 the business was sold to Dual Foods Pty Ltd and a new site was purchased in Mordialloc. Two years later on and after a substantial fit out Mr Donut relocated to the new facility in May 2005.

Since 2003 the business has continued to grow stronger and diversify further as the market changed. Mr Donut products are now distributed fresh across Victoria and into NSW through several distribution networks. Mr Donut also produces frozen products that are shipped across Australia.

Mr Donut has been the fundamental Bakery and doughnut supplier across Victoria since 1979. Many well recognized companies have been and still are supplied with Mr Donut products.

You can find Mr Donut’s famous doughnuts in all the major supermarkets. It’s more than likely that you have eaten a Mr Donut product without knowing it. Just think, it could have been from your school canteen, a stop for a coffee and donut at a convenience store or at your work canteen and/or any other numerous locations Mr Donut supplies unbranded products.
