Rochelle was incredibly helpful and informative. Set us up with some great and "appropriate" walks during our time in Wanaka. We ran into here in the local cafe and she even showed us the best cycle tracks in the area. Along with the walks and the views, the sort of experience that makes a trip memorable! Steph at the centre, also seemed knowledgeable on tracks and local wild life.

Centre was really nice with plenty leaflets and info as with every centre. However staff were not at all friendly or helpful. Seemed very condescending and didn’t show a great deal of desire to help out. Every Visitor Centre we have been to in NZ has been amazing with the super friendly and helpful staff. This unfortunately is an exception. A real shame seeing as it’s in such a popular area.

Just unbelievable, great hikes. If you can, do the Rees Dart track and walk to the Cascade saddle. Another great overnight walk is the French Ridge Hut, but you have to be really fit to try it.

We're visiting from the US.  Rochelle was very helpful.  She was up to date on weather conditions and good driving paths.  She had several suggestions for places we should visit for walks, as well as places to eat, see, and get supplies.  I can't say enough about how much we appreciated her effort.  Thank you!
