I loved having breakfast at this beautiful ambianced with modern decor, plants and soft-rock music, and and well stocked with fresh fruit and vegetables, cafe style venue! I arrived and just wanted a brewed morning tea and ended up having their "The Smart Way," without poached eggs and nuts. They accomodated me so well and the multigrain toast with smashed avocado was served devinely and tasted great! I will certainly come back and next time try their almond coffee range and other coffees with their lunch plate "Vegan Bowl," and "Chef's Gnocchi! A must to try!!!! Vegetarian options: You can ask for vegetarian options for all meals and any other modifications. Kid-friendliness: The place has wide tables and lots of chairs and booths too so easy to put a pram or get a young child to sit and eat while drawing on a piece of paper. The music is soft so friendly for kids. Parking: There is parking right outside for 2 hours, and down the side street as well. Wheelchair accessibility: There is room for a wheel chair. Dietary restrictions: The staff are lovely and will cook, and serve food with dietary modifications!
Holy Moly! This brekky burger slaps! I thought for $18 it would be pretty dull, goodness me was my judgement put to shame! The Coffee is also super tasty, if you like a nice roast have a cup or bucket of coffee here. Super smoothe coffee

Happened to have come across this place as a google suggestion but definitely had a good time! Quick to be seated as there are lot of tables both indoors and outdoors.. good spread in the menu and something for everyone, will definitely visit again!
3.9 Mothers Instinct is a fantastic cafe on the corner of Glenhuntly and McCombie St in Elsternwick. Large and light-filled, it has a cheery ambience with its kitchen open to the eating areas. While this can mean some of the cooking smells pervade the eating area, that’s often welcome as the food is super. I had the smart way poached eggs and smashed avo on gluten free multi grain pictured. It was delightful and healthy. Eggs poached to perfection - covered in seedy goodness. Food and coffee came quickly and the service was perfect. The coffee was fantastic - nutty, strong and creamy. The brekky special looked great too - brioche burger with chive scrambled eggs and house relish. Twosheds will return for lunch at some point, as the venue is licensed and the lunch menu looked great. Loved it. 3.9
I've been here multiple times with my partner for breakfast/brunch and the food amd service here is always amazing! Would highly reccomend for people who want affordable, delicious breakfast/brunch/lunch.Food: 5/5

We met some friends for brunch. The cafe was bright and airy, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. I had the avocado toast with some bacon on the side and it was delicious. The coffee was smooth and full of flavour. If you're looking for a nice place for a delicious meal, give this cafe a go.
I liked my healthy breakfast! This place is really nice. Food is tasty. The staff is friendly, but doesn't look to me that they work together... Overall good!
