Reliable establishment for a meal in Goolwa. The food was good and generous serving. You can tell that they use fresh ingredients. The coffee tasted nice but not hot enough for my liking. The interior is lovely. It is on the expensive side for a meal. Also, they need a prominent sign to ensure customers are informed of the take away window outside. There were a few customers who walked in and had to be redirected outside.
Booked in for Saturday breakfast and was not disappointed. Eggs your way with bacon on sourdough. Large serving. Everything cooked just right. I like my eggs and toast with Vegemite and they even accommodated my request. Fresh orange juice too... but the best part was the staff. Drop in and say 'hi' then stay for the interesting decor and great coffee.
We turned up for Saturday breakfast without a booking! We were super luck to snag a seat inside. The staff were friendly and the food was great. I don't normally get coffee in a 'mug' as it's weak and normally means topped up with milk. Not here though, the mug of coffee was strong and hot. Food was great, homemade crumpets and baked beans, yes please. Great experience, just book off you're thinking of dining at busy times.
Did not disappoint. Great food and pleasant staff. Coffee was also good. Eggs were cooked to perfection and the quality of the produce was easy to taste. Highly recommended! Nice atmosphere too.
Deliciously cosy cafe with mouthwatering food and kickass coffee! Staff were lovely and so accommodating with our 2 yr old, giving her crayons to colour with. Definitely worth visiting and returning to!
Had a delightful lunch on our first visit to Mother Duck this past weekend. We arrived without a booking and although they were reasonably busy we were seated straight away!! Staff were pleasant and helpful and the food was delicious, colourful and well portioned. Good value for money! Well be back for sure!!
Friendly staff, arrived without a booking will know to book next time, seated outside. Gluten free options including buckwheat pancakes....if you are GF you will know that GF pancakes are a rarity when dining out....these were also vegan. Served with an abundance of fresh fruit - raspberries, blueberries and strawberries and coconut icecream! What a Sunday morning treat. Great to see a steady flow of locals dropping by to pick up coffee on the go. Dietary restrictions: Good selection of gluten free and vegan options.
VERY EXPENSIVE COFFEE Called in for a takeaway coffee.. their large is like a medium at other places. Ordered a skinny latte in the ‘Large’ .. it came to $5.80!! I asked if there was a surcharge and the girl serving said there’s extra for skim milk!!! I decided to get the small version for $4.86 definitely a surcharge added.The cup was tiny and the coffee is very average.

Fabulous eating place for all including vegans. Staff were terrific and the food was superb and delicious. The photo in the shop tell the story. We at motherduck believe that good food comes from a good place which is why we forage & prepare only the freshest local ingredients so please tuck in & taste the love XX
