Presented with 2 very different issues happening at the same and I just want to say how wonderful the staff here were to me. As a traditional Barada Barna Woman, I am very proud of this beautiful little community. The staff here are unmatched
The nurses there were amazing, prompt, professional and went above and beyond in my particular situation, I’m from the big smoke but I’ll tell you country nurses are the best nurses keep up the top service guys
The Moranbah hospital is a joke. I went there Thursday 1st Feb and the nurse on duty told me to calm down as I was very upset and couldn’t breathe. Her bedside manner was that I was a burden for being there. After looking at me for 2 minutes and not listening to my issues I was told I had a virus and was then left alone in a waiting room for 40 minutes. I walked out, booked an appointment with oak tree and have been on steroids and antibiotics for pneumonia. Last time I went to the hospital I was told I had pink eye when I had Covid. They make you feel like an inconvenience even when you are clearly very sick!!
If I could give zero stars I would the nurses are no help sending kids home who are needing to see a doctor when calling Ryan's Rule was told to go ahead and call Ryan's Rule then was ignored by the hospital/Nurses
My husband who is under the care of Mackay Base Hospital was told he shouldn't waste the Dr's time to get an injection at Moranbah Hospital as it is Emergency only. My specialist told him to complain as the advice is wrong. The head Dr told him to go to his clinic and pay to get it done. It seems this Doctor likes sending patients to his clinic. It is probably a good way to gain new patients An investigation is underway.
