Visited for dinner. The service was great, but the restaurant was so quiet and the music didn't fit the style of restaurant, so the atmosphere was lacking. Food is pretty good with substantial portions at a reasonable price. You definitely won't leave hungry. I hope business picks up. It's one of the better Mexican restaurants in North Adelaide.
Was so happy to finally get back to Montezuma's Nth Adelaide. It’s been a long break with covid shut downs and change of management but it was worth the wait. The food was excellent and all our favourites are still on the menu. Service was fast and friendly. The decor looks fresher but still exactly how I fondly remembered it. If you loved Montezuma’s before then you really need to go back for a meal and support the new management, you won’t be disappointed. We won’t be waiting long til our next visit.

I'm trying to find something nice to say and the only thing I can find is that the wait staff, although looking a little stressed, were LOVELY. Especially the floor manager. He was great. Gordon Ramsay's kitchen nightmares needs to seriously overhaul something in the kitchen. I got garlic prawn enchilada and it was.. well yeah. It was like bad garlic prawns from a Greek restaurant shoved into an enchilada with no zesty taste of anything. The missus got chicken fajitas that looked like a pre cooked boiled chicken pack had been dumped into her mini frying pan. We decided on drinks. Can't go wrong. Unless you like cinnamon donuts, don't get anything with the housemade secret syrup *gag*. Such a waste of $26 for the litre we stupidly ordered. Some things shouldn't be mixed. Sorry but the food quality was next level bad. Zest up your menu owners! I feel like we wasted $160. Very disappointing. Vegetarian options: Has something vegan on the menu.
I wouldn't even give this place 1 star and I certainly wouldnt even serve this slop to my dog. I've never tasted such awful food. The meal was cold and the rice was hard and all clumped together. Not surprised if the food had been microwaved. Everything was dry and not fresh. Awful!!!! UPDATE: The food was that bad that I contacted Uber Eats who are going to refund me the cost of this $28 appalling meal, while I'm grateful to Uber Eats it should be the restaurant's responsibility. On a side note I've noticed that this establishment does not respond back to negative FEEDBACK which is a huge red flag in itself.
Poor quality microwaved slop. Soft chorizo taco was very average, Taquitos very limited taste, the sauce that covered both was lacking real taste, had turned sour. Quesadilla was a hamburger meat patty covered in a wrap with a huge handful of cheese and microwaved to death. Not sure how they have the nerve to put this food out and charge for it. I asked for take away as staying at the hotel two doors down. 1 minute walk back and food wasn’t even warm. Disgusting.
Montezuma's is a bit of a unique restaurant. Authentic?I'm not too sure, but I like the way they prepare their meals and the menu items that are not available at other Mexican restaurants. Lots of combination meal choices, well priced cocktails and great frozen Margaritas, ole! Pictured is their 'Durango' combination meal.
Stopped in to one of our old favourites on the off chance, having not lived in metro-Adelaide for a number of years. Great decision. The food was brilliant, better than we remembered. Everything from the pulled pork enchiladas to the margaritas was exceptional, and the customer service equally good. Will have to make the drive down again soon.
Honestly some of the worst Mexican food I have ever eaten. Went with family and friends and the 10 of us agreed with this. Overpriced, food tasted re heated and not freshly cooked. Nacho chips tasted plastic. Rice was hard. I felt like we all might get food poisoning after leaving this place so I was to afraid to eat the food in the end. Would never go back to this place again. Avoid it guys get to coles and make your own at home cheaper ans tastier option. Our bill for a family of 5 was $207.00! Ridiculous.
Cannot agree more with the other review mentions Gordon Ramsay kitchen nightmares. Everything we ordered were either oily, soggy or dry and tasteless. I would not eat them even they were free. ‍ I guess that explains why this place is damn quiet. Service was ok tho.
