Mon amour XO has great coffee and friendly staff! Great tasting food too.

I have been coming here since they opened. The thing I look for in a cafe is that the food and the service are always constant. Mon Amores consistency has always been top notch. The staff are always attentive and friendly. The food is excellent with all of the pastries being made on premises. I really can't believe that anything but an exceptional experience is to be expected and if you do not have a good experience here then I would safely say it has more to do with your attitude and not the staffs. Samantha is always on premise and if the experience is not what you expected it is only fair to bring it up with her first before you post a faceless baseless complaint online.

Have had breakfast / lunch and the recently launched dinner here as we are locals. We dine out often and had a great night here! Dinner was a hidden treasure.. Upstairs had a quite and romantic atmosphere, with amazing food and friendly service. The menu and produce match some of the best high-end restaurant in Melbourne. A great dining experience.

Unfortunately a bad experience. I went on Easter Sunday with friends. Staff forgot to submit our order and we ended up waiting 45 mins for food. We got to the counter to pay and they stuffed up the bill. This was the second bad experience I've had here when we walked away after not being served at our table for 15mins. The owners need to address these issues. I won't be back which is a shame because the coffee is excellent but the service can't keep up.

I will keep this short and sweet. Waited 20 min to order a coffee,asked for menus twice that took 10 mins. Waited 10 more minutes to order 3 lots of crumpets 25mins later I approached the register to ask how much longer the crumpets would be- only to be told they weren't ordered. Incompetent staff very poor service on a quiet morning. Not up to the standard of what is expected in Melbourne.

Look, the food was great, decor was lovely and so is the location - but the service! Really not good at all. Eg stood in cafe for a while, no acknowledgement from the barista who seemed to be making his own coffee, ended up seating ourselves, then waited again, walked back to said barista to ask for menus, had the flag down a passing waitress for our order, who bought glasses but no water, food arrived, had to ask for a water carafe, halfway through eating, had to try to catch baristas eye, who seemed to be making another coffee for himself, to remind him that our pastry still hadn't arrived! Finished eating, went to pay, barely a smile or thanks for coming...

Disappointing to say the least. Bad coffee, terrible service and overpriced. I wish the girls behind the counter would talk less about their holidays and service their paying customers. I don’t think I will ever come back. One quick improvement would be to have clean water glasses and polished teaspoons.

You've just lost me. Breakfast menu now only available until 11:00am. What? No more eggs in the fridge after that? ...or are you wanting to force customers onto the higher-priced menu items? Whatever happened to giving customers what they want? Vous n'etes plus mon amour. Bye. I'm off to the other cafes up the road...

Been here many times, the dining room upstairs is lovely. The eggs and chorizo are my favourite. The truffled potato gems are also a must try.

Quality, presentation, taste, delivery and service all superb!!
