What a wonderful restaurant in all its iterations over the past 10 years. Paul is able to combine big Caribbean flavours and spice with a deft touch to create unique and extraordinary flavours that are thoroughly enjoyable. The seafood tower sets the standard for the night and it never slips. Kylie is a rockstar, her FOH team are friendly, engaging, fun and informative. Their service and style strikes the perfect balance. Love this place, was here when it opened and will be here when it sadly closes. Thank you
First time having Caribbean cuisine I think, it was a cool experience with fantastic service. The team was super lovely. I love the pre-dining survey letting you choose the type of experience you prefer. I love the seafood platter a lot especially the chilli one on the top. Too much food though, my stomach was going to explode after finishing them all.
It’s a fusion restaurant. Food & matching wine made very unique taste. The live crayfish is the reason I gave 5 stars, as the meat is very fresh and succulent. Bubbles from the sparkling wine go after the fish roes, it excites the tongue.
I think it’s safe to say that this is the best meal I have ever eaten. The atmosphere and service were unparalleled and the food was on another level. Honestly, I haven’t been exposed to Caribbean cuisine before. The use of spice and inspired combinations of light and heavy ingredients was so freaking good. I’ve never taken a bit of a dish and said “holy shit” to my partner before that meal. Haha.
The best dining experience I've ever had in Sydney. From the head chef welcoming you, to the delicious food and amazing drink pairing, everything was amazing. Our servers were all so friendly and knowledgeable.
Went there a few months ago for my birthday dinner. Didn’t know it’s Caribbean cuisine before visiting - always thought it was Japanese given the name Momofuku. Really nice surprise though! Flavorful food and portions were very generous that we were actually pretty stuffed before the last couple of dishes
Cannot fault them at all. The food was so delicious - I have never had Caribbean food before and all the different chefs took time to explain the dish and a bit of the background. We were seated at the bar so you get to see the action going on in the open kitchen. Everything was seasoned well and had the right balance - we were definitely full by the end! We were celebrating our birthdays and were touched by the extra effort of getting a card signed as well as a cake. My friend has a shellfish allergy and all her alternatives looked so good as well - she said they were great as sometimes at other places she gets a bit of a cop-out dish. We didn’t get the matching wines but the cocktails were so good! Everyone was warm and friendly - I’d definitely go there again!
Wow! What a wonderful experience! We visited Momofuku for the second time on our anniversary, and I was absolutely blown away, not only by the stellar food but by the exceptional service provided. The team at Momofuku are a pleasure to interact with. From the sommelier to the chef’s, it was an absolute delight to dine with and learn from such an experienced group. The portions are quaint but perfectly sized as they are super rich and a combination of complex flavours, less is really more in this case. Favourite dish has to be the marron and coconut bread, and I LOVE that they bring the lil’ babies out to say hi before they’re cooked to perfection! Super cute touch. To top off a perfect evening, we received an extra dessert course to celebrate our anniversary a delectable banoffie pie and a card signed by the entire team at Momofuku Brb, crying. What a wonderful way to spend an anniversary. Can’t wait to come back!
Definitely an experience for the adventurous diner. Every dish it amazingly presented and well thought out. The marron was my favourite. The crab curry was also a hit! Highly recommend a visit, you definitely need to make a booking. If you have the choice, opt to sit at the bar so you can watch the magic in the making. Staff were all super friendly!
Dinner was amazing! Max the Som was very knowledgeable and we loved the cellar pairing. Paul was so nice and hospitable- his food was delicious! Loved it!
