I have been going to Mojo's for years since 2006. They were the best around as the taste of their 'weird' pizzas were absolutely spot on. Exciting and made sense ie. wood cutter, ground hog , etc. The last time I tried to get pizza from this branch, it was under reno and the god forsaken website didnt even say a thing! Made the trip there and couldn't get anything. Decided to drop by yesterday and after getting the pizzas Neptune and Woodsman, the first thing was that the box was no longer the same. Small thing but for a die hard fan, it matters. Im sure the master franchisor would know a thing or two about branding. Then , the taste . OMG it was so bad. Seriously. The sauce in the woodsman was so artificial and weird in a bad way along with too much pepper in it! The Neptune tasted flat and looked like it was kicked out of Atlantis! Seriously, this is NOT MOJO's standard. Once the restrictions are over, I will need to try out the other one in Clifton Hill. Hopefully that is still authentically Mojo's!!!
Mojo's does weird pizzas but their classic "the Lot" is seriously so good. This is a small if you can believe it?! Wow! I've read some of these reviews and they are from when there were other owners pre 2020. The new Mojo's is a pristine clean restaurant run by an amazing, local couple. I hope people will give them a chance. Hans, the chef, will make you any pizza you want...however weird you like it! :
Ordered on uber eats, arrived quickly and hot. Single star for that. The pizza was extremely wet, oily and salty. Couldnt taste any of the flavours, they need to learn that sometimes less is more when it comes to piling toppings on. Garlic bread bland and tasted like coles brand frozen stuff. Overall just gross.
Not sure if this place has new management, but I really enjoyed my pizza. Much better than the last time I had Mojo's ages ago. The tom yum prawn was delicious, memorable, and it arrived quickly and piping hot.
Years ago I would say these guys were the best in Port Melbourne. WOW how things change, Not only was I unimpressed with the people serving me, but the pizza was barely eatable, and they've lost my business until they change hands or take on feedback. Really hate being so negative but they used to be awesome.
As I work locally I decided to try Mojo’s on Bay st Port Melbourne for takeaway due to Covid-19. These guy’s are new to the business and they have certainly changed the appearance of the shop which was needed. I ordered the lot small pizza it was the tastiest pizza I’ve had for awhile. They obviously taken all feedback from previous customers and have made the pizza just right. Not to cheesy, it wasn’t sloppy , and the base was done just right, not soggy like many pizza outlets around. Lots of fresh toppings and the base of the pizza I like it crusty. I also had Tiramisu, it was to die for made freshly. Next visit I will try there pasta’s. The owner I believe has a chef background, keep up the great food.
Was visiting a friend and ordered local pizza from mojo pizza's and pasta bar. Very friendly staff recommend gourmet Neptune pizza. It was the best pizza that I've ever eaten. Will come back and order again for sure. We'll done guys
A classic example of how to run a business to the ground. These guys have every potential to be successful if they had the faintest idea on how to operate. The pizzas are actually fine if you are fortunate enough to actually order them. They operate at their own convenience. As a local resident. It is a running joke amongst our friends and neighbours how rare it is to find them open. We were all excited to have Mojo's as our new go-to pizza shop. But their operating times are way too inconsistent and everyone has been let down one too many times. It baffles me how they are still surviving. How can they expect support from a community if they aren't willing to put in the effort. They have thrown in the towel long ago and will be the first to blame covid. Get your act together mojo. You have no one else to blame but your own laziness when the for sale sign pops up. Hurry up and make way for someone else. According to Facebook. They're open but I can assure you they have not been since Xmas. Pathetic.
If you’re a local or in the area try their Tom Yum pizzas or the Vegie Patch, so delicious and fresh ingredients. Small family business and super friendly! Thank you for the yummy pizzas!
I’ve lived in Port for several years and MOJO’S pizzas are your go-to place for loaded up pizzas, unfortunately years ago we found they were inconsistent and after a particularly oily pizza I decided to not return. Years later and now under new management I decided to give them another go and I have to say it was very disappointing. They said it would be ready in 35 minutes and I arrived within that time and the pizza was luke warm, very soggy & smothered in cheese. We ordered the Vegie Patch. $24?! Fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice? Shame on me. MOJO’s is a no deal.
