Miss Pryor

Hidden gem cafe in Eltham town. Warm services and nice food in this cold weather, Miss Pryor Eltham is definitely the place to be. Modern and cozy cafe with friendly staffs. They offer wide ranges of brunch menu, big smiles and some SNACKS for your dogs at the counter as well. Pov don’t forget to try out their fluffy Vanilla beans hot cake and smashed avocado on toast: perfect combo of feta cheese and balsamic sauce. Highly recommend

A local treasure! I’ve been popping into Miss Pryor for many years and the food and service continually remains high. I’ve tried many delights on the menu from the breakfast items to the lunch! The menu is also a large one winner winner so you’ll always be sitting there deciding which menu item do I get today and which one am I getting next. This time we ordered: Crispy Korean Chicken w/ fried halloumi Corn and Zucchini fritter w/ salmon Almond hot choc Jasmine green tea Fresh ingredients and plates that don’t just look good but taste next level, we inhaled these meals! The love that is put into their dishes is shown with how much flavour was present. Friendly staff and service is always a big yes in my book too’

Each cafe have their own style of making and serving hot cakes, and as they are thicker there needs to be a variety of toppings and flavours so it doesn’t become a bland dish. The Vanilla Bean Hotcake at Miss Pryor had a fluffy cakey inner with a thin crunchy outer. This meant each bite had contrasting texture without leaving your mouth full of dough. It was topped with Persian fairy floss, fresh fruits, toasted seeds and plenty of syrup which provided moisture and crunch. The Porcini Mushroom Medley also did not disappoint. The many mushrooms were flavoursome and well seasoned. Using a fluffy brioche was a welcome change than the usual sourdough bread. It was very easy to cut through making it easy to eat!

Not bad. Toastie was unfortunately incredibly bland and far too greasy. Also definitely not a fan of herbs on chips but that is down to personal taste. I'd much prefer a good seasoning. Chai latte was fantastic. Staff were really friendly. Set up of the cafe itself felt a little weird. It was a bit blocky, like a cafeteria. I think this stopped it from feeling very cosy. I would suggest the owner move the round table in to the middle of the room, yes you may lose a smaller table but it would definitely improve the atmosphere. The seating area needs a focal point and the round table with some kind of centrepiece would be perfect.

Had an excellent brunch here on a Sunday with no advance booking. The menu had plenty of creative and delicious options with good variety of breakfast and lunch dishes. Service was prompt and attentive. Would happily visit again

Great service and lovely food. Atmosphere not the best minus as open plan with babies crying but being picky. Would go again.

Tried delivery from this place during lockdown and really enjoyed the Korean chicken on Belgian waffles. Wanted to come out to eat here in person once we got the chance to. The food and ambiance of this place is nice, would recommend coming here for a nice day out.

The coffee is great and all the staff were very friendly. One of the staff found out we were visiting from Interstate and struck up a conversation with us, asking us where we were going and what we we’re planning to do. The food is great as well. We ordered a Vanilla Bean Hot Cakes and a dish called “All Aboard”. The serving is very large so these two dishes plus drinks were enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. I highly recommend this place if your in the area. We will return to enjoy the experience again.

My favourite. A nice breakfast/brunch place. Good coffee and service no BS. Homemade potato rosti is a must!
