Best coffee by a country mile, right temperature, texture and flavour - I had a flat white. The table seating area is nice, clean and comfortable with a nice ambiance.
Coffee was great and the food was yummy. Service was really good from the older staff member but not so good from the young ones that work there. I'm fussy and do expect good service where ever I spend my $$$. Then younger staff there on the day I was there, were not very friendly and seem to not want to be there. Training the younger ones on how to develop and use PR skills is a must when you are dealing with the public. I am speaking from experience. The restaurant part was very cold freezing in fact and the rest of the mall was quite pleasant. I asked if the air-conditioning could be made a little warmer but the younger staff members didn't know what to do and said it is controlled by the mall itself. But it was already warmer in the mall than in their shop. I asked to talk with their manager but not available. So we had to freeze. Their manner to me was put up with it. Not good in my eyes so I will be getting my coffee somewhere else
I purchased a Princess cake online full price however when I went to collect the cake they were on sale for halp price. I asked if they could refund the difference however they said they could not. For the same cake! Picked up at the same time! This left a bad taste in my mouth. I suggest not buying online and go elsewhere Further to this. This is the response i got back from Miss Maud. NJust brush over the issue. What a joke! 'Thank you for your note. I’m very sorry you were disappointed with your Miss Maud experience. When a favourite cake is wanted for a special occasion, we would always recommend ordering in advance as our stores would not be able to guarantee availability of that cake on any day. Our bakehouse would then create the cake for pick up or delivery. Our stores will have some beautiful cakes available for over counter sales on the day, but there is no guarantee it will be the favourite cake.'
We ordered one of the red velvet cakes for a Christening. It took a while for us to pick up the cake but it looked nice and it was quite tasty. They also had other cakes which also looked quite good.
Came by today with a friend..she spent $36 .. just on a few pies and a sweet.. now we asked for a bag.. and was advised it cost 50 cents.. I think this is so rude.. plus the mushroom pie had NO MUSHROOMS.. so how dissapointing.. everything is mire expensive and the pressure are getting smaller.. greedy and dissapointing ..no customer service....
I ordered a meat pie, flat white and mocha. I said in a mug for the flat white and then I got charged $5.90 for the mocha even though it says $5.15 on the menu because they had AUTOMATICALLY upgraded the mocha to a mug size. There was also a $2 surcharge for eating the meat pie in the restaurant, bringing it to $7.50 for the pie which was not mentioned. This complaint is not about the extra charges, which are nothing. The problem is the supervisor was so rude and condescending when dealing with my queries. Terrible service!
I can’t think of any time I have visited a Miss Maud without being delighted, today was no different when my mother and I enjoyed afternoon tea at Miss Maud Belmont just after 4pm on Saturday 14 May. The young man represented Miss Maud with pride, he was well groomed, polite and accommodated every request, my mother has a particular way she likes her coffee and her request was facilitated with a smile, the young man took initiative to remember those same request when my mum ordered a second cup after she was so pleased with the first just the way I like it she said. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the seating area, the cakes taste fresh and well prepared, my black forest cake had plenty of rich dark cherries, was light and tasted great, overall I give Miss Maud Belmont the thumbs up, and to the young man who served us today, well done, you make Miss Maud proud and put a shine on our afternoon.
we got sliders and warm savouries catered for a picnic. food was yummy, price quite reasonable. little bit of a mix up getting it ready on time but not too bad. nice!
This is how boomers spend your rent, by sitting here for hours eating overpriced cake. I vomit every time I walk past places like this.
Stopped by today. Though the food and coffee were excellent, I was most impressed by the people working there. Considering how very busy they were, the staff did a fantastic job. Efficient, friendly and showing great customer service skills considering how snowed under they were. I'm guessing they were short staffed but they still did their best. I think Meagan should get a promotion..thank you to her especially!
