The beautiful, English-as-anything Miss Marple is hard to miss, sitting as it does so prominently in Sassafras and looking for all the world like something straight out of the eponymous Agatha Christie novels. Indoors, the vibe is the same: quaint, English and entirely befitting the cool climate of the Dandenongs in its cosiness and warmth.

The menu is unreservedly English and includes dishes like Welsh rarebit, Pimlico pasties and a hearty ploughman's lunch. Many love coming here for the Devonshire teas and sweet treats on cold afternoons, and there's no mystery (as Miss Marple herself might deduce) as to why this is such a popular spot.

We used to frequently go for cream tea back at home and since moving to Australia it is something I do miss so I love to seek out cream tea whenever I can...although I must say I am now an avid coffee drinker. This is a cute little cream tea cafe and a great place to take my in-laws. The array of china cups is also nice to see.
Have been here a few times and while the savoury food was just ok, the scones were absolute top notch! The atmosphere was also very nice and cozy. A must visit when you come to the area.
Beautiful food. Very busy but 100% worth putting your name down and waiting for a table to become available. Will definitely return.
Excellent atmosphere. Excellent and friendly staff. Iced coffee was amazing. I thought the scones were a bit dry to be honest.
We always have a nice lunch at Miss Marples. I order the quiche which is super light and the Belgian waffles. They are both brilliant. You won't leave hungry and the food is always fresh and tasty. It's always busy but you can browse the nearby shops whilst waiting for a table.
