We came because someone considered Jezve to provide the best Turkish breakfast in Sydney. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm this. There are several better options in Balmain, Crows Nest and Newtown. The portions were rather small including the cucumber and tomato plate and there were items missing that other restaurants would include no fruits. The quality of food and coffee was good, but not exceptional either. Service and location are good. However, if you want to sit outside, you are looking at a parking lot. Parking: Lots of free parking spots in front of and behind the cafe.
Lovely cafe in Rose Bay. The decor was inviting with lots of greenery, warm lighting and two separate seating areas. I was there late arvo just as the sun began to set so it was even more enjoyable. The berry cake and pistachio slice were delicious. Lots of car spots and right next to the ferry wharf and Lyne Park.
We really enjoy our breakfasts here.. we usually order one Turkish breakfast and a mix of another egg option and a pastry based dish. The Turkish breakfast is one of our favourites in Sydney and we’ve tried many. It could use a bit more variety on the cheese side but that’s it. The coffee is usually great.. and the tea as well. It can get loud inside, especially if the windows are closed. The service is usually very good.
We had pancakes and the feta tomato egg toast today. The pancake was very fluffy and delicious. There was mascarpone on top of the pancake and the dish was decorated by different fruits such as berries, grapes and bananas. I really like the pancake. The toast was normal like all other toast. The place was good and staff were busy but good tempered. The only thing that bothered us a bit was that two out of four dishes arrived a bit later . So two of our friends had to wait for the other dishes.
Great brunch spot with some cool things on the menu. Food was well presented and on point in terms of flavour. This, combined with the excellent spot and ambience, as well as the perfect coffee, made for an awesome time for us. Well deserved 5 stars.
Staff quick and efficient. Menu has lots of choices. We had smashed ago and green brekky bowl the first time, then corn fritters and Menemen the second time. The food was excellent, filling and satisfying, and we were very happy. We also had a Turkish coffee and a chai tea with almond milk. Really nice place. Will come again for sure
Decent food, friendly waitstaff, but their order system needs to get back to basics. Print order receipts, cooks make the order, waitstaff take the order with the receipt so they know what it is, which table the order is for. This way they wouldn’t: 1. have waitstaff holding food asking every table “Did you order xyz?” 2. Miss orders, or confuse themselves that they have already served customers when they haven’t. Also, don’t use the mr yum ordering and payment system, and have the audacity to ask for and prepay tips, and then go on to make customers wait for 50 minutes for their food because of the above mentioned mistakes. TLDR; Good food let down by avoidable self inflicted damage in level of service
Pros: Perfect location. Just park in front for 1-4 hours. Sip coffee, enjoy a toast and fall in love with the bay scenes. Good customer service. Agile staffs. Timings are also perfect for ongoers, park visitors and random plan guests. Cons: Ordered a Mocha, was poor in quality & taste. Chocolate was left at the end.Disappointed!
I catch the ferry at rose bay into the city. For a few months I frequented this cafe. Staff are not personable. Went Monday to Friday for months and every time they’d ask my name and order not a big deal what did really annoy me in the end is waiting for coffee I’d see people who ordered well after me get their coffee before me. Won’t be going back, that’s for sure.
Great Turkish menu with many options and flavours.
