"In 1908, in Chongqing, China, a secret soup recipe led to the beginning of the unique Chinese hotpot. The secret recipe combines more than a dozen of ingredients and spices, creating the perfect hotpot broth: slightly numbing, moderately spicy, and easily digestible, easy on the stomach.Fast forward to 2016, with the help of a third generation descendant of the secret recipe holder, the Memory Tongue Hotpot Restaurant was established. Owned and managed by LYW Catering, a company with over 20 years experience in the catering industry. Memory Tongue Hotpot has two locations: Sydney CBD and Chatswood."

Food is great, we ordered a split of the Soul Catching Spicy Soup and Oxtail + Tomato Soups. The soups were very tasty, the Soul Catching Spicy Soup was quite spicy, but didn't get overpowering throughout the meal. They also do smaller single serve bowls of soup, which we didn't try. The meats and vegetables are reasonably priced, but adds up rapidly if you get the better cuts or multiple serves.
Delicious selection of bases, mild through spicy, premium meats were delicious and beautifully presented. Spacious booths and helpful staff.
Always our number 1 choice for hotpot on the north shore. Tasty ingredients, love their sauces, friendly staff and comfortable setting. The best in winter!
The rating is from my brother in law who is from Guangzhou, 24yo and the photos are mine. I don't feel in a position to rate Chinese restaurants as I don't eat / enjoy most of the food but I felt this was a good proxy.
Fresh food and friendly service. However, it is VERY expensive. I've been to many hot pot places but this has to be one of the most expensive for what it is offering. You'll get you money worth elsewhere
Great food. As far as I'm concerned, compared to most other 'expensive' Chinese hotpot places, it is decently more affordable and the food is definitely better in my opinion. So while not the cheapest of all hotpot places, I reckon if you want a nice Chinese hotpot experience with high meat quality and cleanliness, without being overtly expensive like many other restaurants of the same vein, this might suit you! I'd say, though, that this place might be a bit lacking in terms of sauce variety. But by lacking I mean like they still have 15+ different sauces. Then again, a lot of Chinese hotpot restaurants I've been to have like 30-40 different sauces. Personally I found that a bit overwhelming so I actually ended up preferring this. 4.5/5
Great staff who will explain the ordering process, great location at at Chatswood Interchange. Excellent food.
I had a small party on my last birthday. Food is so tasty, friendly staff. Thank you so much.
Coriander meat balls never became fully cooked in a small pot, despite cutting it in into quarters. Hard to cook in a half and half pot. They forgot 1 dish despite checking with us when we submitted the order. Food came quickly enough otherwise. The barbie wagyu is not worth the $40. Part of the menu items and the set meals for 2 or 4 people is in Chinese only and there was no indication that the set was for lunch only, so by the time we decided on the set and told it wasn't available at dinner we had to start from scratch again. Not going back.
Sooo yummy! The staff were super helpful as I am a hot pot beginner. And the food was all fresh and high quality. They have someone servicing the dipping sauce station and provide a menu of great combos or allow you to pick your own. Be warned the garlic levels! The beef barbie, although gimmicky, was a delicious option... I couldn’t fault anything
