Mildura waves and aquatic / fitness centre Deakin Avenue Mildura.nSwimming options there is a 25 metre indoor pool which offers aqua aerobic classes Monday thru to Saturday. A timetable is available online and also at the reception desk. During the summer season there is a 50 metre outdoor pool see image the season commences early November thru to end of March. In my opinion the outdoor pool season should be extended until 30th April particularly as we live in our tourist promotion area “tropical Mildura”. Inside there is a wave pool limited operating hours and toddlers pool. Parental supervision is required.nChange rooms include family and disability friendly.  Cleanliness rates a 3 star only particularly in peak times.nReception area also includes retail items, bathers, swim equipment and ice cream prepackaged.nThe centre is a shared facility there is a gym with limited equipment and fitness room offering supervised and virtual Les Mills classes check out the timetable. Weekends the fitness room for virtual classes is locked so make sure you ask at reception for access to virtual classes, all equipment is available for use. There is a selection of Yoga classes and options for seniors and those who have limited physical capabilities.  Water refill stations are located thru the centre. Defibrillators are placed within the complex.nThe centre also shares the newly opened Kitsch Cafe which offers seasonal menus including tea and coffee.nThe Mildura tourist information is a great starting point for visitors, opening hours vary and there is a selection of tour and Murray river cruise options plus arts and cultural events. A book swap for happy travellers is available inside the main entrance.nA local library operates from the building with varied trading hours.nOverall I rate this centre based on service, amenities, cleanliness and variety of options. For parking off street including limited disability is available. RV and motor home/caravan parks are located at the rear of the centre. No shaded parking is available. Time limits apply and are often patrolled including on weekends.nPrices for walk-ins are on the high end in offerings available, the centre also offers a sauna, almost antiquated and a small spa.nThere are senior and concession discounts and multi passes available.nOverall for our regional centre of Mildura the centre is a positive for locals and visitors, offering 4 businesses under 1 roof.nPlease note due to lifeguard availability during the summer season the outdoor pool hours are often compromised due to staffing issues.nNo white board or lane availability on the waves website or Facebook page is available which can be extremely frustrating for locals and visitors.

I like the way the wave pool is like a beach set up, shallow to deep.  I like that the centre gives plenty of notice before commencing the waves. So as to get the little ones out. Excelent safety protocols in place.

Good facilties, sauna and gym.nnLso has a very cool wave pool for the kids to have fun and get used to what it is like in the ocean.

Me and a mate went to the pool today, it was 43 degrees, we pay for pur entry and when we enter, we find out that we're not allowed in the outdoor pool, some swimming club had apparently reserved the outdoor pool which is absolutely ridiculous on such a got day, they expected us to just pile into the heated indoor pool that is absolutely packed with people, the issue is they did not inform us of this before we paid and this isn't the first time the outdoor pool was unavailable for use and didn't tell us prior to paying, we left and went to the irympol pool, I recommend that one over the waves any day.

Went to go for some waves. Asked   a  staff member if the wave pool was operating ? “ No”it’s a pool without waves. I had to ask if the wave pool actually operates at all! Only to be told “only on weekends” No mention of that on the website! They didn’t answer the phone when I had rung earlier to check if it was operating.
