Better half and I ordered a couple of entrees to share for lunch. We ordered a BLT and the buffalo wings. Food was excellent, the wings were not over the top spicy but were nice and saucey. Service was excellent. We are planning on going back for dinner if time allows. Will put in a review for dinner if we make it. 8.5/10Food: 5/5
Visited the new Verde outdoor area at the Gateway tavern. Meal sizes were quite large and good value for money. Plenty of seating and heaters for the cool weather and staff were very attentive especially considering we had a very large group of people about 40. Definitely worth trying.
Food was really good. I had the mixed grill and my work colleagues had the brisket. Definitely will be going back.Food: 5/5
Passing through Mildura we chose the Gateway Tavern due to location of where we were staying. We dined at Verde - exceptional service from all the staff! Amazing fit out - very impressed with everything to be honest. Our meals were great in size & pricing. Menu had lots of great options! Kids area was great for our 4 year old, not so much fun for the 12 year old. It was a fantastic experience as we could sit back & enjoy our dinner & drinks and the kids were happy. Did I mention the amazing service & fit out! Highly recommend - well done!!
Lunched here on the way through Mildura and would have happily paid for the food twice!! Awesome clean and inviting venue, excellent, friendly service... even though it was packed you can understand why when you get your meal. The meals we had were faultless, large and very underpriced. Great menu, fantastic selection of drinks and live entertainment. If this wasn't at the tail end of a long road trip we would have stopped here just to come back for dinner! Not enough stars available.
Good spot for families to have a casual lunch/dinner. Food is great and we’ll priced. Busy spot so be patient while you wait for your food. We got our food fairly quickly but I would understand if it’s delayed as so many people trying to order at the same time. Keep up with good work. We’ll be back
Excellent service and food at good value. The playground is a boon for kids. We had a variety of yummy food. The only drawback was that we were sat at high bar table on high stools. We had kids and a few shorter people who struggled to get up and down from the stools. I would be much more comfortable at a regular table and chairs.Food: 5/5
i have chance to be here and enjoyed the beefsteak, play game. So very excited
Staff were wonderfully helpful and kind, the venue is phenomenal, but unfortunately the food is a let down, perhaps they may have just been busy that night but the oysters Kilpatrick were watery, I mean I can deal with a moist oyster but an extra wet one is just unappetizing. Unfortunately the lasagna my partner ordered was equally as wet but also dry on the inside. How this happens is beyond me but I assume it had something to do with age. subtle jokes aside the food needs improvement. Everything else is spectacular.
I had the "rump" steak with vegetables. The vegetables were good, the only reason for the stars. The steak was less than 1 cm thick. More like a large sizzle steak, but really poor quality. Whilst properly cooked, medium, it was tough and had a lot gristle. The gravy was cold and lumped on top. Worst steak in years. Everyone else's meal looked great.
