Nice fresh fish, big servings and good batter and crumb. The staff were friendly and quick at getting the food out. The chips were as good as any other fish and chip shop. As someone who normally only eats their own fresh caught fish, we went 3 times in 3 days so can't have been too bad, I don't go back for average fried fish twice
You get a fair amount of food for what you pay. Have been there a handful of times and never been disappointed however I don't feel like it's anything special. A good place to go if you're looking for a cheap feed for the whole family.
I love fish and chips and am known to travel for a good meal. Mike's was fantastic. Generous servings, well cooked and great customer service. Was a big line up waiting and they told me there would be a wait but over delivered on the time promise. If I wasn't stuffed I would go back and order a second helping.
Fresh and tasty food. Close to the water. Pick up and go for a walk with it.
Really good value for money, but the fish was extremely fishy, and the chips a little overcooked. Home-made tartare sauce was lovely and the portion size was extremely generous.
Best fish and chips we have had in years! We ordered grilled fillet and small chips and a couple of potato scallops. The fish was perfectly cooked with a lemon and a little butter. Was sensational. Chips were cooked perfectly, not soggy. Definitely will be back!
