Finally got to try the once viral cake shop Mietta in Malvern. The shop front was quite aesthetic and had a nice modern classy vibe to it. Though I wish it was a bit bigger as it’s hard to fit more than a couple customers inside seating would be a huge plus one day!. The cakes and pastries themselves were high quality and nicely presented. They were a little sweet for my palette and I’m not sure I’d pay $16 per slice again. But definitely worth a try, especially the carrot cake.
Little cake shop with no seatings. Carrot cake taste good, not too sweet and right balance of spice / cinnamon. Posh version carrot cake, nothing like those countryside carrot cake you get in regional areas. Would be nice if they have full labels and price of what they serve. Went there on weekend, no queue but labelling wasnt complete.
Ordered the strawberry raspberry sponge cake for a special occasion. It was super fresh and very tasty. Top premium fresh fruits, sponge tasty and the staff a very friendly and great customer service experience
Insta famous place lives up to its hype.nnBeen there twice and the cakes are truly one of the most delicious ones in Melbourne.nnBut can you maybe put a sign up and let people who ordered online skip the queue when doing pick up? Thanks!
I visited when there was no queue around 1.30pm on Sunday.nnThe cakes were yum! However, I didn't find them to be special to go back...But to be fair, I am 40min drive away.nnI tried to secure the cakes. Yet, it got broken when I arrived at home :nn- paid $80 for the cakesn- lf you are a tea drinker,the shop also sells Mariage Frères n- as the other reviews already mentioned, it would be nice to see a cake signage & price.
