My FAVOURITE dessert shop ever. I'm an absolute sweet tooth and I'm very picky with what food places I rate highly. This is a 10/10!! You won't regret getting anything here when it comes to taste It is quite pricey, but it's worth it if you're a sweet tooth! Some people who aren't big on sweets have complained about it being too sweet - I suffer the same thing when I bake brownies, my parents always say it's too sweet BUT anyway, it is the perfect amount of sweet for me nnEverything is honestly amazing, but my recommendations are the Pandan Cheesecake original vanilla cheesecake is obviously amazing too and the Honeymisu Layer Cake!! The donuts are really soft and tasty as well, and they do not scrimp out on that filling! nnI'm not a fan of berries so I avoid those flavours, but according to my friends and family, they are fantastic as well of course!nnIf you're a late riser, you might be lucky enough to get the last bits of all the soft serve too like I did I am so glad they decided to extend the closing hours to 4PM.
Bought a whole chocolate cake for a friends birthday.nConsidering the steel pricing of the cake, I expected the highest quality.nnUnfortunately they made a cake which doesn't fit into their own box.nnGot home and the top of the cake had stuck to the top of the box causing part of the cake to be ripped off. As you can imagine, the presentation of the cake was completely ruined. As this was a gift, I was extremely disappointed. You would expect them to have suitable boxes for cakes that they make.nnTaste wise, the cake was decent, not overly sweet, and was moist and dense.nnBut the ruined presentation of the cake ruined the experience.
As a cheesecake lover, i can’t compliment enough for this cake.nSimple but nice presentation. The moment you have a taste, you will only want cheesecake from Mietta, not too sweet as the raspberry balanced its flavour, moist and the tastiest. Will definitely come back for more.
Finally got to try the once viral cake shop Mietta in Malvern. The shop front was quite aesthetic and had a nice modern classy vibe to it. Though I wish it was a bit bigger as it’s hard to fit more than a couple customers inside seating would be a huge plus one day!. The cakes and pastries themselves were high quality and nicely presented. They were a little sweet for my palette and I’m not sure I’d pay $16 per slice again. But definitely worth a try, especially the carrot cake.
Rosemary somehow consistently produces the best versions of a wide range of things I’ve had.nnThe best:n1. Carrot cake. Well-balanced, moist, light yet bursting with flavour. The quality of ingredients really shines through with this one. The texture is improved greatly by the fresh and flavourful pecans you get with each bite.nn2. Chocolate chip cookie. I will say this has a lot to do with personal preference but if you’re after a crisp outside, chewy centre, and a TONNE of chocolate throughout, look no further. This thing was more chocolate than cookie - very decadent.nn3. Chocolate cake. And this is particularly high praise given I love chocolate cake and have had so many versions to compare it with. The chocolate itself is of the absolute highest quality, and I love the contrast of textures between the rich, gooey top half and the more cake-y bottom half. It did run the risk of being too rich and sweet but the caramel sauce does an amazing job at providing a different sticky texture but more importantly a different flavour dimension of saltiness to round it all off. It’s the perfect version of a chocolate cake to me and I don’t think I would change a single thing about it if I could. 10/10.
