I came right on New Year's Eve with no expectation because it was late 8:35pm. The staff were happy and so nice to serve our family. We ordered Set F 4 types of marinated meat for 2 people with some rice and drinks. The food was fantastic! Their salad went so well with the grilled meat. They also have marinated shredded shallots typical Korean side dish - just not sure other restaurants don't have it which is so good to have with everything. New Year's Eve. Restaurant is closed at 10pm. But all the staff are very nice and smiley 5 stars
We arrived so late at 1.45pm but the two waiter boys still served us very well. Glad we made it. Ordered the set C and it was amazing and more than enough for 2 persons. Ordered a small rice to share between two and it came with a chef special soup which taste like tomato chilli Kimchi style not too sure but it was sooo good! Would definitely come back again! The waygu was sooo tender love it!
Korean BBQ Buffet restaurant at $38 pp. I like the selections of Beef and Pork Belly. Good value for Meatlovers with big appetites
A few things to say, I feel this place has been judged to harshly from other people that have rated it. This a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and it is very much Korean BBQ, this means you need to accept a few thing, this place is run like a true Korean BBQ and you may feel culture shock from it, remember the staff are there to help you and many complaints I have read could of been solved by asking a staff member. There is also something else you need to know, with the all you can eat, you need to understand they don't want you to waste food. To prevent this they say if you grab to much meat and you can't eat it all they will fine you 20bucks, be understanding this is a big thing in Asian culture to not waste food and to respect this is not hard. Moving on to the food it is high quality and the price is well and truly a bargain for what you get, so if you think you want to try it stop thinking and start doing this place is a hidden gem and should be visited.
I absolutely love this place. I always get the all you can eat option. It's a little expensive, but worth it. They give you hot coal for your table and a grill. You go up and select your meat. Then, you return and cook the meat over the coals on the grill. You can repeat this as much as you want until 90 minutes has elapsed. Highly recommend. 10/10.
Now I love a good Korean Buffett, where there a lot of options and variety and the atmosphere relaxed, comfy and even with nice music. A place where you get a bang for your buck. Midam Korean Charcoal BBQ cannot be described as any of the above. We cut our dining experience short because we were bored and disappointed with the lack of choice. Plus no bang for our buck.
Best All you can eat restaurant in Sunnybank I am Korean but I gotta say, I am very impressed with their food and service
Nice customer service considering there was only one waiter. Food was incredible. I would have loved more bbq options for the cheaper price, as there is one non-marinated pork option and one marinated beef option; I prefer beef but did not want marination so got pork instead I think because there was only one waiter on he was a little flustered, cause he dropped off plates between our tables so the people next to us weren’t sure whos was whos. Luckily they were super nice. Top of fans and unused surfaces could use a bit of a clean/dust.
Went here for lunch. Was a nice experience and the meat was tasty. But lacking a bit with the side dishes, no music, no tvs on, nothing to add to the atmosphere. Staff were helpful but looked a bit daggy, would be better if they were in a proper uniform or something. Unfortunately don't think this is somewhere I would come again.
Midam could be described as a hidden gem tucked away from the general public's knowledge, but ask anyone whose been there and they'll tell you what a bustling little diamond this place is. Ambience 5 Midam on a Saturday night is busy and filled with cheer. The conversations of those around you weave in and out of the sound of your meat sizzling away on the racks in your table. The air is filled with a comforting smoky smell that entices the soul. This place is tightly packed on a busy night but it never felt too crowded. The vibe here is something else. Food 5 Boasting on their menu that their meats are locally sourced, I can vouch that they are also delicious. We enjoyed a variety from the all you can eat menu including beef, pork, octopus and more. We also had some salad, fried chicken and chips on the side. Cooking our own food was a new experience for us and it was pleasantly satisfying to work with top quality produce and create our own meals. Delicious, fun and a great experience. Price 5 Our group of 6 opted to get the buffet all you can eat. We also ordered drinks on top of that. Altogether, the bill was $300, so an average of $50 per person. Considering the absolutely excellent quality of the meat and the fact that you can eat as much as you want we found this price to be very reasonable. You should note that there is a $20 fee if you don't eat everything you selected which is a great way to encourage people to select only what they wish to eat. Service 5 We were seated quickly and the menu was explained to us politely and promptly. Once it was explained, we were left to serve ourselves from the buffet and we called over servers when we needed replacement cooking racks or extra drinks. Overall the service was good and considering how busy they were we were well taken care of. Overall, Midam is a great experience to jump into the world of Korean BBQ and cooking your meat yourself with their fantastic variety of high quality locally sourced meat and reasonable pricing. Thank you for having us and we hope to visit again soon.
