I was worried about buying a camera online, but I call them and they gave me some good advices on which camera, and answers all my questions patiently! Safe to say I end up buying the one they recommended and my camera arrived in 2 days, wrapped so professionally. I am impressed
Great store with a wide range of products. Not the cheapest pricing, knowledgeable staff if you're lucky to actually get served. Be prepared to wait for a long time or be ignored. There's also a nice camera museum upstairs that's free.
Great selection of cameras gear and even a museum upstairs. I also found out they do camera hire and lense hire so you can try before you buy. Some of there prices are quite reasonable. Although cameras are never going to be cheap.
The employee in this family business is extremely friendly and passionate. The building is 103 years old and the family is getting the 5th generation now. By seeing this museum, I can experience the flow of time and the zeitgeist of technology era. Our society develops so fast that the gap between the post world war 2 camera and the modern camera is like the gap between two civilization from different universes
Great place for photographers whether pro or amateur this place has the lot, staff are great, fantastic museum of all sorts of camera gear from very old to not so much has a bit of everything....
The Media School is a truly inspiring team. Great teachers, great content and great experience. Looking forward to my next course~
Michaels do not honour Australian Consumer law and will not replace a professional grade camera where the shutter repeatedly locks up after less than 2 weeks of light use. They also state that they price match but when you ask them to they will not match the price offered by at least 2 other stores. Avoid this company. Your reply is nothing more than an attempt to avoid your responsibility under consumer law. The law is quite clear. A product which has a major fault has to be replaced by the retailer if asked by the customer to do so. It is pretty clear that this camera has a major problem and that it will not take photos. There is no reference in the law requiring the camera to be sent back to the manufacturer and in fact you are not allowed to try and pass the responsibility back to the manufacturer. To even try and suggest that we damaged the camera is an insult. The camera has been well looked after and only used as you would expect a camera to be used. If there was foreign matter in the camera then that could indicate yet another problem with the camera and anyway it is irrelevant. Your treatment of the customers was appalling. We asked to BORROW a lens cap to protect the lens which was on the camera but you refused and said we would have to buy one for $10! You packed the camera in bubble wrap with absolutely no protection over the very delicate shutter as you refused to put a body cap on the camera. My understanding is that you shipped the camera to Sydney with no body cap. As a consequence any damage or foreign matter in the camera has now become your responsibility. You didn't even give us a receipt for leaving the camera with you. All your manager did was write his name and a number on a bit of notepaper and give that to us. We had to demand some kind of receipt to even get that and it wouldn't be sufficient evidence to prove that we left the camera with you.. The documentation you sent to Olympus didn't even describe the nature of the problem with the camera. It consisted of about 5 or 6 words so Olympus would have no idea of what to even look for.
Update your website so the hire page isn’t on your menu or visible. You’re wasting our time letting us look at all your hire gear only to realise you don’t hire things anymore. If you don’t do it don’t have the hire pages on your website.
I come to hear like minded people discuss film photography. Michael, your children are all very helpful. We chat about ISO, shooting at night, what we love, what we fear. I enjoy people talking about things they are both knowledgeable and passionate about, and for that, 5 stars. Also very interesting building. The seemingly unsupported windows which go all the way around. The undulations hide the supports, which don't appear at first glance. I don't know who designed it, year maybe inter-war period. Thanks again Michael
Great collection of multiple brands of cameras that have grazed our shores. To compare and see how technology and many different camera companies come and go, with a few stalwarts.
