To have a shop assistant not know where Invercargil was or Stewart Island is was pretty galling .She didn't even know about the positioning of the South Island. Communication was extremely difficult and tiresome. This is Welington New Zealand not Shanghai China.Come on Michael Hill train your staff like you say you do and not treat your customers like idiots.

Got pretty well looked after here. Had to navigate the typical sales 'would you like fries with that' add ons, but that's par for the course these days. In the end got an extra added in by kind sales person without having to pay extra. Overall very happy customer. Much better than my experience with the Lampton Quay branch a few years back.

I paid extra for products to qualify for a voucher which could only be used if I spent $300 again in another instance. This information was not conveyed to me during the purchase.
