Overall, the perfect budget stay!nOur only down point was how bright the rooms were in the mornings - curtains weren’t good and I woke up at sunrise when it was my first chance for a lie-in in a while!nWe also got an ‘upgrade’ for a big bed, which was great, but it meant we didn’t get our balcony - no complaints because we got there at night but others might be bothered.nIt was very affordable, clean enough although not spotless but honestly great for what we paid.nBed was comfy!nbathroom was nice also - lots of lotions and potions available which was great.nThere’s even a microwave and a kettle, cutlery etc in the room.nThe staff were all super friendly, parking available, and could also leave our luggage when we checked out.nWe would definitely stay again if in the area.
I regularly visit the shire, and always stayed at another place.nNever again after my comfortable 3 night stay at Metro Miranda.nRoom was spacious, clean and had everything you need. . Reception staff were very helpful. Location is perfect, with Westfield across the road for food and shopping. A microwave with crockery and cutlery was a bonus. And there is a great coffee shop underneath the metro that served reasonably priced breakfast from a varied menu. It is an easy, flat walk to the train station.nMany rooms have a lovely view over Botany Bay.nI would suggest you bring a double adapter with you. I had to use the bathroom power point to charge my phone and laptop. . The only other power point in the room was close to the desk top. The cords on my charger come out at the bottom, and there wasn’t enough room between the desk top and the power point for my charger.nWhy pay 3 times the price for a pool, that you probably don’t use, and an ocean view, when you can have a much more enjoyable stay here?nI’m looking forward to a return visit in the new year.
Really nice upgrade to the rooms. Fresh and clean, coastal feel, super comfy bed and beautiful bathroom. The staff were amazing and they had put a bottle of wine and chocolates in our room, as a gift for our wedding.
Front desk guy was amazing. Super friendly and helpful!nTo be honest this wasn’t a great stay for me. The hotel is very tired and grubby. That’s fine- I knew it wasn’t going to be a 5 star due to the affordability. Outside of the run down bathroom with bits falling off everywhere, at 4am enormous thudding and banging vibrated through the first floor. I woke thinking shops downstairs were being ram raided. Then thumping music started hounding. I realized the body fit gym or whatever it was, was directly underneath. Someone was obviously doing deadlifts and dropping a huge weight bar to the ground after every single rep.nThere’s also no PowerPoint next to the bed so you can’t have devices next to you when charging etc.nnI think if you stay here you must ask to avoid level 1 rooms. The gym ruined my sleep and visit. Stay further up on higher levels and you should be right.nnAgain, very friendly staff on front desk but it’s a run down beaten up building. Time to gut it and redo. Bathroom fixtures are rusting, beaten up and old
The Metro offers great accommodation and is situated directly opposite the largest shopping centre in the Sutherland Shire.nThe rooms provide ample space and are well-appointed. The beds are great if you suffer from lower back pain like I do.nThe hotel has parking available. I suggest you request a spot when you make your booking.nLastly, the staff are always helpful and in my experience provide excellent customer service.
