they removed my original review. i will write a new one. i am a graduating year 12 at this school and i know i speak for many when i say this school has failed us. all they care about is their public image, about the scores you get so that they can push themselves further up the ladder. the teachers here are horrible except for a small few, and MANY of them are leaving this year. the school doesn't care remotely about the students here, and it is shown in everything they do. a prime example is how they completely sabotaged one of the only resources they had in place for student wellbeing. not even just for mentally ill students, but also for those that weren't doing well and needed a break. in 2019 my class advocated for this wellbeing room- a safe place that students could go to when we needed time alone. a previously empty office would soon become this wellbeing room, and i know i am not alone when i say that this room gave me and others a perfect quiet place to calm down when we needed time to ourselves. for me it was a safe haven for panic attacks and trauma responses- i could calm down with the space i needed to do so, without teachers interrogating me while i cried. this year, they decided to replace the wellbeing room. they took the frames off the walls, removed the stress toys from the tables, took the beanbags from the corners, took our colouring books from their holders. they replaced it with an office. an office for the head of wellbeing- a less than charming woman who cares more about uniform than any student's wellbeing. i've heard rants from many of my peers about her lacklustre abilities in actually aiding anyone's health. now students have nowhere to go- but its good that she got her office right? now girls can go to the bathroom to cry, in dirty cubicles with disgusting overflowing sanitary bins. and this is only one thing they did. another pleasant example of mercy college's loving catering is forcing a girl to remove her crucifix and dump it in a plastic bag filled with many other pieces of student jewellery, all lumped together. this was during the covid crisis, by the way. the teacher saw her begin to cry and simply left. its important to note that students are allowed to wear religious jewellery- it is the one exception to the rule. in short, this school is horrid. don't send your daughter here unless you want to watch the life be sucked out of her. take her literally anywhere else, please.
Where do I start with this….I could write a book about the horrible experiences my daughters faced at this school. The size of the school should say it all. I wouldn’t have sent my daughters here even if it was the only school left on the planet.
love it. such a good school for girls, all the girls are nice and supportive xx
beautiful school with respectful students. i did see some funny vandalism on one of the faces on the school wall infront of the school. It blacked out the eyes and drew a moustache on the student. may Allah protect this shcool!
Very good school I went to that school I loved it .and I miss the good days. I wish I was young again. I definitely will go back to Mercy college 100 percent happy.
Attention Mercy college, I Ms Aloise currently has a daughter in year 11 beginning her vce and in the past had a daughter whom which completed her vce........I personally have some concerns about the way the school operates and also the staff members......as a very concerned parent only wanting the best for her child ,my main concern is the fact the co-operation from staff to parent is quite poor and vague. I only hope that by recieveing this notation that the college steps up its mark and also realises that my best interests is in my daughters welfare and wellbeing and her education....... Ms Catherine Aloise
