The room was nice and a great layout. The location is also very good with great shopping and restaurants within walking distance. The cleanliness was lacking. Asked them on 2 occasions to ensure the room was cleaned, but it never was. It appeared that the floors were never cleaned as after I asked for the room again to be cleaned, I walked in, got a face washer and cleaned up a handful of my hair. I also found a facewasher I used where the kettle was, the only thing I could suggest is that they used it to do the cleaning. It made me feel sick to my stomach.
Have stayed here on several occasions when visiting Canberra, the rooms are clean and generous with good facilities and a comfortable bed. There are plenty of eating options within close-proximity, and it's only a short drive into the city centre. Can highly recommend a stay here.
Beautifully done Motel, the grounds are stunning. The staff were very accommodating, and helped us out as much as possible.nI do think the motel needs a little bit of an upgrade. Doorknobs need to be renewed, the fish tank in the lobby halfway through the motel needs a bit of a clean would honestly look beautiful with a consistent clean so we can view the fish through the glass.nThe gate monitor on the car park also needs repair. Wires sticking out is certainly not a good look.nWe were also unfortunate to have our room keys cancel after one day, and we were able to buzz through from first carpark door monitor to get us in to the garden area, but when we walked through to the back door, we were knocking for at least 10 minutes quite loudly for someone in reception to hear us, as there was no way our card would let us in to reception, OR could we use a speaker to buzz anyone. You would have thought reception would expect us ??.nAnyway… definitely a motel that could be a 5.
The room was very well equipped and so comfortable. We had everything we needed and slept very well due to block out curtains, quietness and incredibly comfortable bed.nnThe staff were professional and helpful at all times and we appreciated the later checkout. I would highly recommend the Mercure Belconnen. There is a new upstairs Bar which we visited, enjoying Friday night drinks.nnThanks for a really memorable stay.
Staff looked after everything and had smiles as well great staff. Breakfast is not worth the money. Mercure is very close to Bel onnen shopping centre. Driving around is easy and Mercure is in a great position. Plenty of parking foe $15 per night.
