Highly recommend! Dr Nima first looked after my MIL for a retinal eye issue and was fantastic- very thorough, kind and a clear communicator. He arranged what needed to happen very quickly and made sure we were happy with each step. She has since been back to have cataracts and once again was a fantastic experience. The building is also beautiful and so well set out. Would give 6 stars if I could
I am incredibly disappointed and upset with the outcome of my eyelid surgery performed by Nima Pakrou in June 2023. My eyelids were left in a worse state than before, and it's impacting my eyesight negatively. The doctor's lack of expertise resulted in asymmetry, with my left eye being smaller. It’s evident that the surgeon did not remove all the fat and skin as intended during the procedure, contributing to the unsatisfactory results. Moreover, the post-surgery treatment was distressing. When I expressed my concerns about the unsuccessful procedure, the doctor administered a painful cortisone injection that not only failed to improve the situation but exacerbated it. And I got swollen and bruised eyes again. To compound the problem, the receptionists were disrespectful and lacked professionalism. Their behavior added to the overall unpleasant experience. I urge anyone considering this surgeon to thoroughly research and consider other options, as my experience was deeply disappointing, and I am now dealing with the consequences of a botched procedure still after almost 6 months. Regarding your reply: Your response doesn’t diminish the severity of the situation. The outcome of the surgery has left me unable to face my own reflection comfortably. The visible repercussions are undeniable, and I refuse to let your attempt at justification cloud the reality of the situation. The impact on my appearance is evident, and it’s disheartening that your response seems more focused on self-justification rather than acknowledging the distressing outcome.
Dr Nima performed cataract surgery on my parents. We found him to be an excellent surgeon who has great attention to detail. He communicates very well and spends a lot of time explaining the procedure and addressing patient concerns. We were very impressed with his care and highly recommend him.
My Dad did the cataract surgery here. The Dr is good. The overall experience is OK. Most of the staff are good! But don't expect too much. The end of the journey makes me so angry. Customer services need to be improved. My Dad still has the terrible red eyes after 6 weeks, and hope to get better soon.
Iam so grateful that I was referred to MCES to have my cataract surgery done last year. My eyesight is now 20/20 able to see everything so clear now. Dr Nima Pakrou performed the surgery, what a wonderful and caring surgeon he is. I have been back again a few times regarding other surgery, actually I was there again yesterday for surgery to my top eyelid, once again Dr Nima Pakrou performed the surgery. he has a way of making you feel very comfortable and being reassured. I can't praise the staff highly enough, they are fantastic. nothing is a problem to them and they are so friendly and professional. I don’t usually write reviews but this time I thought I would make an exemption. I saw Dr Nima Pakrou for a Chalazion of my left lower eyelid that has plagued my life for 6 months. As a doctor myself I’ve come across many doctors, I can honestly say Dr Pakrou is one of the best doctors I have ever come across. He’s extremely knowledgeable, skilled, kind, friendly and understanding. I was very nervous going in for this appointment expecting to have a surgical procedure. Dr Pakrou put me at ease pretty quickly, discussed my options with me and gently recommended the best option for my case. I ended up having a steroid injection to the chalazion with an appointment to reassess and surgically treat it in 6 weeks if needed. It’s been 2 days post steroid injection and the chalazion has already reduced to about half its size. The procedure was also very quick and painless. I’m glad I took his recommendation and I’m hopeful I will likely not need that surgery after all. His entire team was also very friendly and professional, from reception staff to optometrists. I highly recommend Dr Pakrou he’s absolutely Brilliant!
Dr Nima Pakrou is an excellent surgeon. He has fantastic bedside manner, cares about his patients and provides very thorough post operative care. I highly recommend him.
I just wanted to come on here and thank Holly for being so incredibly friendly and helpful to a nervous wreck like me. She made it easy to book my cataract appointment and was transparent with all the fees. Dr Wright was also thorough and patient, taking the time to explain everything and answer all my questions. I really highly recommend this eye clinic for anyone looking for compassionate, honest and affordable care.
Nima is a kind, empathetic and overall excellent practitioner. He diagnosed me with uveitis promptly and found the root cause, which involved a multidisciplinary approach. I was so happy with him I referred my dad to him whose blepheritis had been mismanaged by his GP for years. Wholeheartedly recommend Nima!
I had multi focal lens replacement in both eyes 6 weeks ago. I no longer require glasses for both near and distance vision and I can see perfectly! Dr Heathcote Wright was straight to the point, professional and funny! I can’t thank him enough for literally changing my life. The staff at MCES are lovely and extremely helpful…the whole experience was seamless and so easy. Recommending Dr Wright is a no brainer!
