Had an amazing time with Melbourne Boat Hire !!! From the booking process, the service and the boat ride itself ....it was absolutely phenomenal. Booked the Luxury Private Romantic Dinner for my partner and I and they did not disappoint. Enjoyed the food, drinks and beautiful views of Melbourne. Also a big shoutout to James for being the best skipper !!! Overall lovely experience. Highly recommened !!
I would recommend the private dinner cruise. Eating delicious food while casually boating down the river with the sun setting on the Melbourne skyline is a memory I’ll cherish. Thank you to our knowledgeable and super capable skipper, James.
We rented Harvey A for 4 hours on a pleasant Sunday afternoon celebrating our daughter's school graduation. We had 9 people on board and brought our own charcuterie and other provisions. We had the best time on board of this cosy boat, partly covered and partly open which was very refreshing. The boat driving was very easy and we had no issues passing underneath the 13 bridges on the way to Herring Island and back again. Music played through the speakers was a highlight and everyone was enjoying the fantastic scenery around Docklands, Fed Square and up river all the way to Herring Island. We had no problem getting back on time and 4 hours gave us plenty of time to enjoy all the sights and sounds while cruising on this beautiful and winding river. The company is well run and their skipper Finn was very nice to greet us and explain everything we needed to know. The booking and waivers and on the day experience all ran smoothly. No issues. You can park on the streets around and or in the open car park across from St Mangos Ln. I highly recommend this boat rental and would love to do it again!
Amazing experience!! Booked a 2-hour session for my parents' anniversary. The boat was amazing and in pristine condition. View along the river was crazy good. The boat had a cover so we wouldn't have to worry about rain at all. And the boat had great sounding built-in bluetooth speakers! The food and flowers add-on they provided were great. The staff were very nice and helpful. The price of the boat hire was super reasonable, but add-ons were definitely a but pricey. All in all, it was great and we would definitely come back!
The staff were super friendly and involved and always asked if we wanted more drinks. The boat was great, it was really smooth and not windy. There was enough room for everyone to dance and mingle and speakers had a great volume. The views on the Yarra were incredible.
Melbourne Boat Hire was really incredible to work with. The Birrarung boat was absolutely beautiful. The crew members were delightful, and more than happy to assist with setting up the music, and other requests. So glad I chose to celebrate a special occasion with them!
Absolute trash customer service. Spent 2 days trying to reach them by phone and email in the hopes of rescheduling due to covid with 5 days notice. Admittedly this is within the 7 day cancellation period, however it baffles me that a company would effectively give us the option of eating the $600 fee or exposing their staff to covid. Spoke to a supremely unhelpful and evasive man on the phone once we did miraculously get through. Told us he was sending an email to resolve things and we’ve still heard nothing. Would sooner swallow a live goldfish before recommending to anyone else.
10/10! We celebrated my sister's hens party on board the Birrarung and it was the best experience ever! The boat is stunning and the sail along the river was so peaceful and fun. The staff on board were so amazing, myself and all the party goers were so impressed with their kindness and service. I couldn't recommend these guys enough and will definitely book again for other events.
We came for our 1 st anniversary. It was a great experience for both of us. Had a very good time. Special thanks to James
