Anyone coming from somewhere else has seen a better airport. Anywhere going to somewhere else is about to experiance a better airport. Still, we love it all the same, and ask guests to Victoria to forgive the dirty carpets and general confusion.
Rip off. Product not fit for purpose. I got charged $32 for 1h 58 m. It'd begin to be justifiable if the car parking bay red/green indicator lights worked properly. But they don't. We wasted time, around 15 mins, driving right up to many green lights, and low and behold, there was a car already parked in most of these. And we passed some empty spaces where the red light was indicating the bay was occupied!nnIf your greedy company wants top dollar, fix the parking bay indicator system! You charge way more than anywhere in the CBD.nnHad I got out 15 mins earlier, I would have paid $17 not $32.nThis is the fault of your substandard maintenance on the red/green parking bay indicator system.nnCant wait for the train to get built. Then we can avoid your laziness and monopoly.
This place is so many levels of nightmare. First they make you drive through a whole lot of vip valet parking area where you’re not allowed to park, then all the parks are full but the sensor things are broken so it points you to park in places where there’s no room, there’s dozens of other people doing loops trying to find parks that don’t exist, also the parks are like 20% smaller than your average car park spot and they charge you 100% more, I want my money back. So embarrassing that’s how we welcome people to Melbourne
I mean, it's a car park in an airport.nnGood points:n- Fairly well laid out, I've never lost my car yet and it's not hard to get to the terminal.n- The new tap your phone on entry and exit system works well, you no longer have to use a ticket.n- It's all undercover.nnLess good points:n- Bloody expensiven- There are still signs up about tickets which is confusing since it's now ticket less.n- There's some construction/renovation going on which decreases the number of spaces availablen- We really should have a rail link instead of having to drive to the airport and park!
The lights that are supposed to signal available spaces don't work but otherwise easy to negotiate. Leave extra time because you do have to walk a long way from the available space a couple of floors up to the departures area.
