Anyone coming from somewhere else has seen a better airport. Anywhere going to somewhere else is about to experiance a better airport. Still, we love it all the same, and ask guests to Victoria to forgive the dirty carpets and general confusion.
With a baby and a walking stick... Watched 3 full busses pull up and let a few people on. I attempted to use the Rate My Experience but the machine is not working, possibly due to the constant negative reviews.nnSend an express to T1 every so often!!
It’s one of the well organised and maintained airports for car parking. They have clearly marked indications of where to park. I normally used either premium or valet parking service. It’s very nominal of $40 for 3-4 hours. Their service is really good with staff being very friendly. I would highly recommend using valet or premium parking.
I have used this a few times, and whilst it has always been overpriced, it is convenient. I will make alternative arrangements in future however as we were trapped in the 2nd level for an hour and a half last time. There were no signs, no staff to explain the situation and then we were charged $47 for the experience. People were getting into physical fights it was so bad! I have complained and been PARTIALLY reimbursed but no proper recompense has been made. What if there had been a fire or a bomb threat? Would it still have taken them 1.5hours to clear out a few hundred vehicles?
Tullamarine is still by far the second worst laid out, and navigable airport in Australia, second only to Sydney. This airport will have you walking around and double backing yourself for hours, and god forbid you need to park! Add 45 minutes to your trip just to walk from the carpark to your terminal. Add another 30 minutes for security, and add another hour for the walk to your gate!
