Chanced upon this place as it was open just a tad later than neighboring establishments. The burger was generous, with chunky fries, and the moussaka delicious. Service was prompt and delivered with good humour. Perfect for a late dinner after work.
Highly recommended . Really great experience .. I was trying the fish and chips… and salmon fillet… very tasty … The stuff was super good… tahmid was very friendly… had a great conversation with him … Shamsi was very friendly as well .. I would love to come for grill and charcoal items.. stuff was recommending as well… Again thanks tahmid for nice coffee..
In London for a meeting in Westminster and looking for something other than standard hotel grub, came across this place. Had halloumi starters and a steak burger meal chips were a disappointment both cooked and tasted fine. The best element of the meal was definitely the baklava, which was absolutely divine. The £41 included a coffee and a 15% service charge which I didn't resent paying. Would I go again? Yes I think I would.
Decent place and ambience but food needs a lot of improvement. Basically you are paying for tht place in central london. There r so many better Mediterranean shops around. Just a 10 mins out. We had mix grill 25£ . Extremely small serving n chewy kebabs. Felt undercookedZ thankgod didn’t upset my stomach. Chicken burgers and beef r burger were ok but really basic at 15£ and 16£ respectively. A little salad would have helped. Chicken breast for kids 9£ prolly ok. Cokes 3.5£ each .. plus they charge a 12.5% discretionary service charge which I did not understand.. the service was non existent . Except for taking the order and serving the order.. total bill 82£ after I refused to pay 12.5% service charge n only paid 5% a typical rip off.
We came for the kebabs, but stayed for the baklava. My Turkish cousin was convinced that we wouldn't get good baklava here, but she was quickly proven wrong. Now she's saying it's the best in London. All around good food and great service as this empty plate attestsFood: 5/5
Brilliant food, atmosphere and service. Food was delicious, came quickly and everything tasted fresh. Malik was phenomenal and literally said yes to all our demands. Friendly person and the ability to remember and service several tables at once without losing it! Will be returning. Only one picture as food was so tasty and fresh had no time for pics!
The food is good. Humous wasn't creamy the Sainsbury and Tesco Humous - brand 'Sabra' is so much better but the food was tasty and I enjoyed it very much. Imam Bayildi was the best dish to have as a vegetarian. The Borek was tasty too. Falafel was nice and that's how I got to taste the Humous. If Humous is as good as Sabra I would order it as a separate dish. Please make it better. I will certainly go again. There are two problems with this place though. Outside sitting area allows smoking so if you don't want to risk second smoke you are better off being inside. Second issue is the old gentleman at the door. He actually shouted at people who wanted to get a bill or asked for a table. To have the job he has to be related to the owner, if not it's a big mistake. As due to him I saw two groups leave in one hour I was there. For example one couple came and inquired about a table. And he just said to them - "Go downstairs and wait as you are blocking other customers. Just wait and don't come up here". This place is very spacious and this couple weren't blocking anything. Even if they were you can ask people to wait politely. That's what the lady said, can you be a bit polite about this. He said 'Get out of my way'. They just said we won't eat here and left. Then another group left due to rudeness. Another group he kept waiting on the street for 10 mins. When there were lots of empty tables around. In the end one person from the group came up and then they were given a table. Most people would have walked away after being ignored for 5 mins. These people were patient. I think the place will do much better if this gentleman wasn't working in customer service. I would give this place 5 star if I didn't have to witness such rude behaviour and terrible customer service. I personally just ignored him and dealt with the younger waiter. Vegetarian options: As all meditarranean places this restaurant has lots of vegetarian options.
Looked good at the start but food was sub standard and tourist trap prices. Children Bolognese 9 pounds was just pasta and service was not great. Waiter got our order wrong and blamed us for ordering 2 kids meals when we had 1 child. Also had to call the bill 3 times before it came. Sitting outside and enjoying the courtyard view was the only real positive.
Inexpensive and reasonable. Low cost food but in some ways you get what you pay for. Pitta bread was especially nice. Great outdoor patio for al fresco dining on a street closed to traffic. Service was friendly, but slow.
Great service with friendly staff, when we reached they were about to close but they allowed us and served excellent food. We loved it. Love from the Maldives
